Arusha to – Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - Depart from your lodge and travel to Lake Manyara National Park. Arrive in time for lunch, and afterward, embark on an afternoon game drive in the park. This park is one of Tanzania’s most scenically located wildlife areas, featuring a vast but shallow soda lake that covers two-thirds of the park, situated at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s diverse habitat attracts a wide range of animals, including one of Africa’s largest populations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos drawn by the lake’s algae.
Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti Plains
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, we journey towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the picturesque highland farms of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains stretching as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a vital water source and attracts a variety of wildlife representative of most Serengeti species. Enjoy a packed lunch and an afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park.
Dinner and overnight stay inside the park, according to the standard and type of accommodation requested.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast and with a packed lunch, you will embark on an extensive game safari exploring the Serengeti’s natural plains. Drive to view the kopjes and other plain areas for herbivores and Big Five sightings. Before nightfall, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Serengeti Plains – Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast at the lodge, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti before returning to the lodge for a hot lunch. Later, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge, which boasts a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here that anthropologists Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of the ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man,’ both significant links in human evolution.
Dinner and overnight stay as per the standard and type of accommodation requested on the crater rim. (No accommodation available inside the crater)
Descending to Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast, descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas in the world, home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park hosts a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major attraction of this picturesque national park is its large population of predators, including lions, hyenas, and jackals. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.
Later, drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Karatu – Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is mainly composed of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation primarily consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with large swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps attract wildlife during Tanzania’s dry season. Tarangire National Park is known for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This park is also home to three rare animal species – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at Tarangire Safari Lodge inside the park.
Tarangire National Park – Arusha
Arusha Region - Enjoy an early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, followed by a hot lunch at the lodge.
