Simply choose Nafika Tours - Nafika went above and beyond any possible expectations. Starting from the impressive availability of Elias in organizing each detail of our trip with very short notice and accomodating all our requests. Then Eli and Diklan, our super attentive guides who made it possible for us to reach the summit. But behind the scenes there’s much more that increases your chances to successfully climb the mountain: Jamali surprising us with warm boiled water after every trek and ensuring we had everything we needed all the time, Kennedy’s delicious dishes (we even had pizza, fries and popcorns on the mountain!) - big and balanced portions to make sure you intake all nutrients required for the trek, the support of John during the summit who carried on is own the oxygen tank in case of need plus thermos with hot tea to fight the cold, the endless efforts of Frankie, Simon, Lucas, Justin and Paulo who carried every day enourmous weights just for us being able to continue the trek - we opted for the luxury experience which includes standing tents with camping beds (highly recommended to ensure proper rest and avoid the cold soil) and portable toilet (as well, highly recommended since there are just public toilets on the route). Last but not least: their smiles during the entire journey, their continuous support through laughs, jokes and songs sang all the way to the top (even in the most difficult moments of the summit). And just to mention: the crew always found the best spots in the camps with breathtaking views of the mountain and more privacy compared to other groups. We will keep this experience forever in our hearts - thank you Nafika and the entire crew for making this possible. Forever grateful. Finally, also the 3-day safari after the trek was very well organised: our guide Edi knew every route of the parks (tarangire, ngorongoro and lake eyasi) and made sure we had another incredible experience. Simply choose Nafika - you will not be disappointed. Martina & Andrea

It was super amazing Kilimanjaro Trip wuth the local Team - The guides were amazing. They conducted daily medical checks, took turns eating with us, and answered all our questions. The chef prepared the best food, always with a little surprise. Nafika Tours left me speechless. They were always happy, professional, and truly the backbone of this adventure. They packed up the entire camp, carried it every day, and when we arrived at the new camp, our tents were set up, bags in place, and boiling water ready for a nice cup of tea. One thing I noticed the most was our guides' professionalism. They watched us closely and set a pace that suited us, so we all acclimatized well, even though we were all over 50 years old. A team of 27 supported us on the mountain, including guides, chefs, servers, specialty camp attendants, and porters. Every detail was attended to, and our safety was paramount. They had four levels of safety: twice daily medical checks with a pulse oximeter, medical questionnaire, and lung check; carrying oxygen; and helicopter extraction if necessary, provided you have insurance. Our guides, Elia, Tony Nemis, and Evord, were very professional and knowledgeable about the mountain, safety, and nature. The food was amazing and plentiful. We ate better on the mountain than at home, no joke! We had BBQ chicken, fajitas, crepes, cornbread, stews, curry chicken and rice, schnitzel, Salisbury steak, French fries, French toast, bacon, and more. The fruits and soups were especially tasty. Having our own bathroom was epic – such a convenience! The tents were tall enough to stand up in, even if you were over 6 feet tall, and they fully blocked the wind, which could be strong at times. The most fun was climbing the Barranco Wall and all of us summiting on day six! The entire group gelled, and we became a big happy caravan of 27 people. They taught us Swahili and sang traditional songs to us some mornings to celebrate the upcoming day. Three porters and all the guides walked us to the summit and sang to us again in celebration. We were the only ones at the top because they timed it to miss the crowds; it was a true gift to be there by ourselves! Eli even agreed to take my friend and me on a side trip to climb on the glacier near the top – a bonus! Their attention to us and ability to adjust was remarkable. We highly recommend using Nafika Tours and will use them again in the future.

Best Kilimanjaro Team ! - We climbed Kilimanjaro last month, taking the Lemosho route (8 days), which was breathtakingly beautiful and scenic. We chose Nafika Tours over a few other local and international outfits, and I'm so glad we did. The whole experience was great, and I would definitely recommend Elias and his team. He answered all the many questions I had over email, and all his answers instilled confidence. They were professional in every aspect—from the camping and food arrangements to their environmental care and the medical expertise of the team. It's crucial to check that the guides are medically trained. We had check-ups every morning and a lung test every night. We also took Diamox from day one, which saved us from serious altitude sickness and made the climb far more pleasant. The guides on the climb were excellent—they knew the mountain inside out, looked after us well, and ensured we managed the climb. I genuinely couldn't have done it without their support. Climbing Kilimanjaro was the toughest and most rewarding thing I have ever done, and I am glad we chose Nafika Tours to get us to the top!

10/10 Tour Group - We used Nafika Tours for a 8-day Lemosho route. It was FANTASTIC, we had the best accommodations for any group we saw there. Every tea break we had a table and sometimes chairs, food and tea, where most teams had a thermos. We opted for the “luxury package” which was marginally more expensive and well worth it. We slept on cots and that was a game changer. William and Good Chance (Goody) were our guides and were amazing. Fantastic wealth of knowledge and amazing guides. The Porter team was equally impressive. Elias was a fantastic planning agent and everything went easy. We went with four people and were perfectly taken care of. Again, I HIGHLY recommend Nafika Tours

Kilimanjaro climbing June 2024 with Nafika Tours - With a group of four people, we started the Lemosho route. Before we began, the guides checked all our equipment and ensured we could rent any items we didn't have. The guides were very experienced and adjusted the pace well to suit the group and the altitude. Every night, they checked our heart rate and oxygen saturation to ensure we were in good health. The food was very satisfying, and they made sure we had more than enough. The team of porters was really kind, and after every hike, we received a warm welcome at the camp. In the final stretch, they came to support us if needed, showing great team spirit. To ensure all of us reached the top, they provided each of us with a guide or guide-in-training for support. We celebrated later with a freshly baked cake , four candles, and fireworks. For us, it was one of the best experiences we've had in this beautiful country, and the organization and their people were a big part of it! Thank you so much, Nafika Tours.

Kilimanjaro climb with the best local Team! - I just completed an 8-day climb of Kilimanjaro with Nafika Tours and was very pleased with the entire experience. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and did everything they could to ensure our group successfully reached the summit. The morning and evening medical checks (assessing for high altitude symptoms, oxygen saturation, and overall well-being) allowed them to monitor everyone in our group and address any concerns before they became issues. The food was ample and tasty, and the equipment and tents were top-notch. I rented two pieces of equipment that I didn't own—a rain jacket and a heavyweight down jacket—both of which were in excellent condition and kept me warm and toasty. Additionally, a comfy sleeping mattress pad and the best sleeping bags were provided for free. From the porters to the guides, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. If one of my children or grandchildren wanted to do this climb, I wouldn't hesitate to climb Kili again and would definitely choose Nafika Tours. If this is on YOUR bucket list, what are you waiting for?

Kilimanjaro climbing Lemosho Route with local Nafika ! - Our adventure was really amazing! Our family, ranging from ages 20 to 58, achieved something incredible by reaching the top of Uhuru Peak, all thanks to the careful planning and support from our guide and porter team. Abdala our team leader, was kind and capable, leading us along with Albert and the porters who helped us every step of the way. They not only set the pace for our journey but also made sure we were feeling good and able to keep going. Right from the start, the team welcomed us warmly with songs when we reached the camp. They kept our spirits up and made sure we had everything we needed, including waking us up in the morning with coffee or tea. Priava, our cook, made tasty and healthy meals, even making special dishes for one of our group members who was vegan or vegetarian, while also feeding the whole team. I want to give a shoutout to Frank , who managed the toilets and also joined in with the singing. The whole support team, chosen by Nafika Tours, played a big part in making our trip so great. In short, Nafika Tours gave us an amazing team that made our journey really special. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to climb Kilimanjaro. For those thinking about doing a similar trek, here are a couple of tips: 1. Make sure to arrive at least one day before starting the climb to get used to the altitude. We found this really helped us adjust and made our climb easier. 2. It's a good idea to consider using acetazolamide to help prevent altitude sickness. While it's not guaranteed to work, we saw lots of people struggling with altitude sickness, so it's worth following Nafika Tours' advice on this. Thanks to Nafika Tours, we got back from our trip on time and without any problems, and I can't thank them enough for that. Highly recommended!

Climbing Kilimanjaro with the best local company! - I've recently returned from a successful climb of Kilimanjaro and can highly recommend Nafika Tours as the best local company to complete the climb. Right from my initial emails to them, they were very responsive and made sure I was fully aware of all the things I needed to consider before paying my deposit. They provide a huge amount of information to ensure you're prepared for the adventure, and their website and guidance pages are easy to use. Elias, our travel manager, was there to receive us and checked all our equipment, ensuring we were ready for the trek. His quality of advice and style of engagement were unique. He was patient, knowledgeable, and ensured that we felt reassured about the trip. In Tanzania, their team ensures you've brought everything you need or will make sure the rented gear fits properly. I highly recommend using their rented gear as it is of excellent quality and kept me warm at the summit. The guides and porters from Nafika Tours did a fantastic job of ensuring my team of 12 people stayed well and hydrated throughout the climb. They provided breakfast, a three-course lunch, and dinner, all of which were of good quality and well cooked. Even the popcorn we received at the end of each day was a nice touch. A tea break with biscuits was also a welcome rest on the trek. Our Team Guide, Eli, and his team were superb and made sure every person reached the summit. Everyone had a twice-daily health check, and Diamox (altitude medicine) was supplied by the team. Thanks to Nafika, I always felt in very safe hands. Everyone I met from the company was very helpful and wanted us to make the most of our adventure. It's a company that prides itself on customer service. I will definitely be going back to Nafika Tours, but next time for a safari holiday.

Amazing Kilimanjaro climbing with local people - We had an incredible experience during our 8-day Lemosho Trekking adventure with Nafika Tours. From the outset, Elias was incredibly responsive, addressing every query we had about the trip before we even set foot on the trail. The thorough gear check before departing for the mountain, coupled with daily health assessments during the trek, instilled a strong sense of safety, especially for us as first-time high-altitude hikers. Throughout the journey, the team's dedication was evident. They worked hard, ensuring our comfort and cheering us on as we reached each new campsite. Summiting Kilimanjaro is no small feat, but with the expert guidance of our team, we felt confident and secure every step of the way. The hike itself was nothing short of amazing. I was impressed by the quality of equipment provided, the delicious food prepared by our cook Priva, and the support of the entire crew. They were always ready to assist in any way possible, and their infectious humor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the trip. Even simple pleasures like playing frisbee in the camps became cherished memories, thanks to the team, Unlike some other groups we observed, they did not seem to have this same fun and friendly experience with the team. There were no hidden costs or surprises with Nafika Tours. Everything was transparent and delivered exactly as agreed upon, making for a stress-free experience. If I ever decide to tackle Kilimanjaro again, there's no doubt I would choose Nafika Tours without hesitation. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for their clients make them the perfect choice for any adventure seeker.

It’s Kilimanjaro hike and safari - A big thank you to Nafika Tours for giving us an amazing experience during our recent trip to Kilimanjaro and Safari. We picked Nafika Tours after looking into lots of options because we heard great things about them locally, and we're really happy we did! We started planning our trip to Tanzania last September, and Elias from Nafika Tours helped us every step of the way. Our hike up Kilimanjaro was incredible! Our guides, Eli and Albert, knew so much about the mountain and Tanzania. They kept us interested and entertained as we hiked the Lemosho route. They made sure we were feeling good by checking our health twice a day and encouraging us to go slowly. This helped us a lot, especially during the midnight hike to the summit. The food was delicious, and the porters worked really hard to make our trip a success. After Kilimanjaro, we went on a three-day safari with Hillary. It was amazing! Hillary made sure we saw lots of animals and stayed in nice lodges. He knew a lot about the animals and answered all our questions patiently. Some important things to note: 1. Everyone on our trip made sure to wash their hands and keep clean. 2. Nafika Tours took good care of our health with regular check-ups, unlike other companies, A hiker with a different company was surprised that we were getting health checks. His team didn’t even check his oxygen level. On summit night, he struggled and barely made it to the top. He hadn’t been eating or sleeping for a few days at that point. 3. The Nafika staff were well-organized, friendly, and flexible. They had good equipment and tasty food. 4. Getting a private toilet tent was a smart choice. It was much better than using drop toilets. Based on our experience, we highly recommend Nafika Tours for your Kilimanjaro hike or safari adventure!
