Family friendly - Highly recommend Yummy Tasty, especially with kids! Sky was an incredibly fun, patient and knowledgeable chef. We had an issue where my 5-year-old son had a bad reaction to chili pepper oil and the whole team could not have been more helpful in trying to resolve, while also letting us come back to re-do the class the next day. That re-do was such a magical day and my son is still floating on cloud nine!

Best Thai cooking class - This was the BEST excursion I had ever done. Sky was the most pleasant and fun cooking instructor and she set the tone for a wonderful day. I went by myself while my spouse was working, but I was always made to feel like part of the group and didn't feel lonely or left out the entire time. I also found it wonderful that for each of the five courses we made, we were able to select from 4-5 options the night before and Sky graciously taught us all how to cook our chosen dishes with efficiency and a smile on her face. I cannot imagine a better place to experience the fun environment of a Thai cooking school.

Great Cooking Experience! - Entire experience was great. Advance communication was clear, we loved being able to pick what we were going to cook in advance, and the stop at the market was informative and quick. Our host / instructor Sky was wonderful, great English, clear direction and very personable. Easy to follow all the instructions and food turned out great.

Wonderful market visit and cooking class!! - Spent the morning with doing this cooking class and couldn't be more pleased! Good communication prior to the class and hotel pick up and drop off made it super easy. We really enjoyed the market visit with explanations of so many (previously mysterious) ingredients. Sky was lovely and happy to answer so many questions from us. Her English is impeccable and easy to understand. We each were able to each pick what we wanted from the (many) options in five categories: stir fry, soup, appetizer, curry paste (and then a curry dish made from curry paste) and dessert. There were just three of us in the class so very personalized instruction (but the facility is such that I can imagine would be just fine with their max of 10). Open but covered space, lots of fans to keep the air moving, VERY clean, and we each had our own chopping station and cooking station (with our own wok or whatever else was needed) and made our own dishes. I agree with other reviewers that say to not eat before the class. We had *just* coffee, fruit and yogurt at breakfast and I really wished we had only the coffees so as to have had more room for all the delicious food. Can adjust spiciness as you prefer and Sky tasted each of our creations and helped us dial it in just right to the dish and our taste. We sat down to eat a few times: once after making stir fry then again after making soup and appetizer, and finally after making our curries and desserts. It was smart to spread out all the eating over the course of the class! Plenty of cold bottled water was offered as well as to-go containers when we couldn't finish our creations. LOVED using the mortar and pestle to make a REAL curry paste out of the base ingredients rather than prepared pastes. Sky is a great instructor--perfect balance of teaching the dishes, allowing for conversation and keeping it fun. All of this at such a reasonable price--would definitely recommend! Tip--coming with others? Coordinate to make different dishes so you can all try each others' food-we shared all around with our classmate so got to taste so much more than just our own.

Highlight of our trip! - This was the best activity we did in our time in Thailand. We had our two children (3yrs & 5yrs) with us and they absolutely loved it! I highly recommend it as a family activity.
We zipped around the local market and learnt about all the ingredients for the dishes we’d make.
Back at the house we made all the dishes ourselves and did a lot of eating along the way too. It was delicious! And we were able to make everything vegetarian too.
Ahnoosa (Noodle) was a most fantastic host. She’s super friendly and had an incredible way of keeping our kids engaged too. They loved her.
Book this in! You won’t regret it!

I felt like a chef - The food was fantastic and we are so excited to get the recipes and cook some Thai food when we return home. Sky was an excellent guide and answered our many questions. You prepare more food than you can eat so come hungry.

Fun and personal experience - Our chef, Noodle, is great. Made the whole experience fun and personal. In fact, it was the best Thai food we had during our entire 2 week trip.

Don’t hesitate - just do it - As someone that sees a kitchen as way through to the garden this was always going to be different - quite how different I had no idea. Picked up from our hotel we went to the local market to get the fresh ingredients and then went to the cookery school.
Massive amounts of fun were had by the group who quickly got into the preparation and cooking - laughing al the time - having each prepared our dishes we set about cooking which was even more fun. Not only did We cook lots of dishes they tasted amazing (under the expert guidance of our chef of course)
Top tip - don’t have breakfast before you go - there is so much food
Would I do it again- without question. - totally recommended trip in Chiangmai and really lovely people. Fantastic value and great fun
