Great day in Halifax - We loved our day exploring Halifax. What a fantastic city. I have been on hop on hop off buses in different parts of the world and this was the best one I have done so far. The speaker system was nice and clear, the announcers spoke well and had a good sense of humour. There seemed to be plenty of buses running as we rarely had to wait more than 10 minutes. Definitely recommend this as a great way to visit and enjoy Halifax!

Best staff! - The driver and the guide were so helpful and knowledgeable about Halifax! We have a person in our party who has mobility issues and it wasn’t a problem at all. Made such a huge difference!

Fun and informative tour - My wife and I just took a hop on hop off bus tour of Halifax and had a great time. We didn’t get the name of the gal who narrated the tour, but she’s retired nurse and schoolteacher and was knowledgeable, but more importantly, hilarious. She told us what were the most significant parts of the city to explore and explained the explosion in 1917. We enjoyed some good laughs on the tour.

Informative an interesting tour. - Good overview of the city was given by the guides. The route covered parts of the city for sightseeing as well as possible errand - running. I recommend this activity.

Late - I did not appreciate being told to be there at 9:30 only to find it not open at all, and the bus did not arrive until 10:10. It was supposed to be that buses arrived every 15 minutes. We waited 30, and then there were not enough seats on the bus for everyone

Very old vehicles. - We booked a tour with our cruise ship last week, covering Peggy’s Cove in the morning and the Hop On Hop Off in the afternoon. The morning was excellent and thoroughly enjoyable, but when we returned to the cruise terminal to pick up part two - the bus - we were very surprised to see a really long queue waiting. We thought maybe our tour was in a different section. It took half an hour before we got on - there was a mixture of red/ pink vehicles and our blue bus. The ride was awful, the fumes were pretty bad throughout and the engine was so noisy we couldn’t hear the commentary. This bus wasn’t fit for purpose. Our good humoured driver tried her best, but basically it was impossible to drive normally and half way through the tour we passed one of the red buses which had broken down. We couldn’t wait to get off. Initially I gave the review two stars but changed it to three because the next bus waiting for us outside the Titanic cemetery was almost empty, we could hear the guide ( though it wasn’t far back to the terminal) and the bus was in slightly better physical condition. We wouldn’t use them again.

Good but Too Many Guests for Bus Capacity - It was alright. The tour guides/speakers were terrific. The only drawback.. too many guests and congestion at a few key points. Not entirely your fault of course when 5 or 6 cruise ships unload all those guests.. it's time to speak to the port Authority about staggering ships coming into town. You know this is a massive problem in European ports AND residents there protest those invasions. Something to consider

Not worth the money. - AWFUL!!!! When we boarded originally we had a great tour guide and driver however after we hopped off and tried to get back on we waited endlessly for another bus. Mind you the stops are not super close. When we finally boarded back we were told that one stop had been deleted from the tour and that we could not visit the Titanic Graveyard because the bus stops running at 2! Our tour guide for this leg of the journey JIM was SO unprofessional and anything but friendly. In fact after asking a passenger to "be quiet" (she was talking to an elderly lady, who seemed to be hard of hearing) he said over the PA system "If you will shut the hell up you can hear what I am saying, or I will just not speak". To me this was very disrespectful, first off the bus is loud because it is an antique, the windows were open because there was not air conditioning and it was upwards of 80 degrees and clearly the women was trying to tell this elderly lady what the guide was saying. I booked this through the cruise line and was VERY disappointed with the value as well as the experience.
