Unforgettable and very well organised - We booked this very easily online through TripAdviser. Within minutes Sam contacted us with full details of the journey and requesting further information. It was reassuring to have such a rapid response. The driver, Dinesh was extremely professional and helpful and everything went according to plan.
As the day draws to a close, the sun sets at 6:17 PM, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink, a fitting end to a day steeped in history and natural beauty.

Begin your day with a visit to the Paradise Blow Hole Tour, available from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This tour takes you on a journey through some of Sri Lanka’s most remarkable sites, including the Mulgirigala Raja Maha Viharaya, a rock temple nestled within a forest of coconut trees. As you climb the 500 steps to the temple, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views and a sense of tranquility that only such sacred places can offer.
The tour continues to the Wewurukannala Vihara, home to the largest seated Buddha statue in Sri Lanka. Standing at 160 feet, this awe-inspiring figure is a testament to the island’s rich spiritual heritage. Finally, witness the natural wonder of the Hummanaya Blow Hole, where the sea performs its own symphony, sending water skyward in a spectacular display.
A review from December 12, 2024, perfectly encapsulates the experience:
Fun tour and friendly and helpful driver - Sujith was the best guide and driver. He picked us up from our accommodation in Tangalle right on time with a big smile and took us on an amazing adventure to the Mulkirigala Rock Monastry and a beautiful waterfall for a swim and a king coconut. At the Monastry he helped us with directions and made sure we saw all the important parts and great views. His driving was very safe and the tuk tuk was spacious and comfortable. We had great conversation and Sujith always stopped to show us interesting animals we passed like peacocks and batts. It was a great day trip that I would recommend to anyone in the Tangalle area! Would also recommend Sujith’s tuk tuk services in general for any trips in Sri Lanka :)
