• Palatupana - Upon arrival at Hambantota Harbour, our representative will greet you and transport you to Yala National Park in a specially modified safari Jeep. Located in Sri Lanka’s Dry Zone, Yala National Park features diverse habitats such as scrub jungles, water reservoirs, brackish lagoons, and riverine areas. The park boasts one of the highest leopard densities globally and is home to an elephant herd numbering between 300 and 350.

13:00 - Relax after lunch and prepare for your second game drive.

14:00 - Board the Jeep for an afternoon game drive focused on spotting leopards. With some luck, you might see a few. Besides leopards, Yala is home to elephants and various mammals including Sloth Bears, Black-napped Hares, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Hanuman Langurs, Toque Monkeys, Stripe-necked and Ruddy Mongooses, Wild Boars, and Golden Jackals. Reptiles such as Land and Water Monitors and Marsh Crocodiles are also present.

16:30 - Depart the National Park and head back to Hambantota Harbour (approximately a 45-minute drive).
