- Rathausmarkt - The design of the town hall market was inspired by St. Mark’s Square in Venice, which also opens to the water. The ensemble’s plan, featuring an open staircase and the design of the Little Alster, Alster Arcades, Lock Bridge, Town Hall, and other buildings, was created in 1842.
- Jungfernstieg - The Jungfernstieg (from Low German Stieg for “Steig”) in Hamburg is a street located on the southern bank of the Inner Alster in downtown Hamburg. It stretches from the Reesendammbrücke to the Gänsemarkt, serving as a place to see and be seen.
- Deichstrasse - Deichstraße is a street in the city center of Hamburg, featuring the last remaining ensemble of old Hamburg townhouses. It holds historical significance and is an important tourist attraction. With the Cremon’s storage group preserved on the opposite side of the Nikolaifleet, a relic of old Hamburg has been maintained.
- St. Michael’s Church - The main evangelical church of St. Michaelis (commonly known as Michel) is the most renowned church building in Hamburg and is regarded as the most significant baroque church in northern Germany. This sacred building, with its distinctive architecture visible from afar, has long been a symbol of the Hanseatic city for shipping on the Elbe.
- Portugiesenviertel - Traditionally, small businesses, particularly in the gastronomy sector, have been strongly represented in this quarter. The presence of numerous “harbor pubs” led to the Portuguese Quarter being nicknamed “The Coast” in the 1950s and 1960s. In the 2000s, there was a notable increase in catering establishments, with around 40 cafés and restaurants by 2011.
- Harbor Piers - The St. Pauli Landungsbrücken are a large landing stage for passenger ships on the northern edge of the port of Hamburg. These jetties are situated in the St. Pauli district of Hamburg, between Niederhafen and St. Pauli Fischmarkt on the Elbe.
- Elbtunnel - The St. Pauli-Elbtunnel, opened in 1911 and also known as the Alter Elbtunnel, contrasts with the New Elbe Tunnel, which has existed since 1975. It runs under the Norderelbe, spanning 426.5 meters, and connects the northern harbor edge at the St. Pauli landing bridges (north entrance with two tunnel tubes) with the Elbe island Steinwerder (south entrance). It serves as a public traffic route for pedestrians and cyclists, and to a limited extent, motor vehicles. It was considered a technical marvel when it opened, has been a listed building since 2003, and was awarded the title Historic Landmark of Engineering in Germany by the Federal Chamber of Engineers and the Hamburg Chamber of Engineers on September 7, 2011.
- St Pauli - A world-famous red light district featuring bars, pubs, clubs, strip clubs, brothels, and more.
- Park Fiction - Park Fiction has been an artistic and socio-political project in Hamburg since the mid-1990s.
