Additional Information

As my guests, you’ll have the unique chance to explore Europe’s third-largest harbor aboard a modern 42’ sailing yacht. We’ll perform maneuvers right in front of the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg’s iconic concert hall, cruise along the maritime skyline, and get an up-close view of the world’s largest container ships! As a true Hamburg local and passionate sailor, I’ll share unexpected insights about the port of Hamburg while you enjoy the winds and tides.

We’ll strive to present our tour content in English, though this is not guaranteed. Regardless, the entertainment value will always be high!

Best option is to travel via public transport and get off at Baumwall U-Bahn station. - Look out for the lighthouse fire ship - There you go all the way down the pier / gangway, - standing in front of the red lightship, turn RIGHT! - Here you will be picked up BEFORE a gate that denies access!

Take me with Captain, on the journey - What a great experience, this “After Work” trip! It starts right at the tree wall and then sails relaxed down the Elbe. We had fantastic weather: Sunshine and enough good wind to cruise relaxed to altitude Dockland. Even if you have already made many harbour tours, or taken the 62 to Finkenwerder, this trip is a completely different experience, especially since you can also lend a hand on board if you like. The group size is very pleasant and our skipper (Fred) was just likable and funny. Clear Recommendation for closing time! 😀

Lovely evening on the Elbe - Weather / boot / skipper / scenery were just exceptional on the Elbe today. Highly recommend this +/- 90 min relaxing sailing trip.

Hamburg from a different perspective - It was a nice tour - unfortunately slight lull - our skipper really gave everything that we were clear to the neck on the return tour (at the height "beach pearl").....back we went with the tail. In the best of sunshine. That's great. Döntjes was free and so were Chuck Norris sayings.

A very nice, relaxing experience - The only criticism would be that unfortunately there was very little wind and only little sailing possible. Of course, this is not a real criticism, who can influence this. A very nice skipper who can also tell a lot about Hamburg including maybe some sailors yarn. Those who want to help with setting sails etc. are welcome, those who do not have to. All in all a wonderful end to the day and recommended from my side in any case.

Very nice after-hours trip - I took part in the tour as part of a Meet5 event. We had great weather, it could have been a bit more wind. We were a very nice group. Our skipper has told a lot of stories. Whoever wanted to get involved. The tour is a really nice change after work. Experience Hamburg very relaxed from the water side. Gladly again 👍

Along the Elbe - Despite the severe storm just before, we set sail in light rain. The weather cleared up and we had a great tour with Sebastian. It was also great that I could steer the boat to Finkenwerder. Thanks for that!

Perfect team event - We booked the 2-hour after-work tour as a team event (10 people) and were more than thrilled! Highly recommended! From booking to advance communication to the sailing tour, everything worked wonderfully and the team was always available to answer questions. As skipper, Holger finds the right balance between setting the direction and staying in the background. It was definitely not our last tour with Elbsegelei.

A harbor tour with a difference! - A different kind of harbor tour! After setting off, we first went past the Elbphilharmonie to the Hansahafen, where we set sail in the shadow of the four-masted barque Peking. We then sailed down the Elbe in a fresh wind past the fish market and the Oevelgönne museum harbor to Finkenwerder. From there we went back to the sports harbor on Baumwall. The atmosphere on board was very relaxed and Holger is not only an extremely competent skipper, who impressively demonstrated competitive sailing to us during a detour to the park harbor, but also an entertaining entertainer who has a lot to tell. A sailing tour with him through the harbor is an impressive experience and the time flew by. We are left with many new impressions of the harbor and the Elbe that a conventional barge trip certainly cannot convey.
