Head to iFLY Basingstoke, a premier indoor skydiving facility powered by a state-of-the-art vertical wind tunnel, where you’ll experience free-fall conditions with the help of an instructor.
You may fly if you:
- Weigh less than 18 stone and 7 pounds / 117kg (contact iFLY directly if you weigh more than this)
- Are not pregnant
- Have not previously dislocated your shoulder
- Are not under the influence of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs
- Are not wearing a hard cast.
It is vital that you arrive for check-in at least 45mins prior to your booked flight time.
So, if you’re booked flight time is 3pm, you should arrive no later than 2.15pm. This is so that we can get you geared up, ready for your flight time.
iFLY operates a manifest in the same way you would expect an airline to work; it is therefore advised you arrive early, leaving plenty of time for any unexpected delays.

Head to iFLY Basingstoke and experience the thrill of floating in an 800-HP vertical wind tunnel that mimics the conditions professional skydivers face, but without the need to leap from an airplane. Flying in the tunnel is a possibility for nearly everyone, irrespective of previous experience.
Inside the flight chamber, a tunnel operator will slowly ramp up the wind speed until you and your instructor are suspended in air. The thrill of hovering at wind speeds of 130-175 mph (209 to 282 kph) will give you an adrenaline high. A consistent flow of air from wall to wall prevents you from drifting off the air column, with a professional guide present at all times.
The whole indoor skydiving process takes roughly an hour and a half from beginning to end. Although every session can accommodate up to 13 people, you will have the opportunity to fly solo with your instructor not once, but twice - equating to the freefall duration of three tandem skydives!
