Well done - The tour was good, learnt alot and enjoyed myself alot. But the bus was too small.
However, I'd like to take time to compliment my tour guide, Mr Chuong. His work was beyond exemplary. Not only was he knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, attentive to details and was also very kind and righteous.
He took care of all of us really well and went beyond the mile to deliver his service.
I'd book one and many tours again if he was the tour guide.

A must in Hanoi! - Our guide Ha was lovely. Very attentive and close. He made the experience very pleasant, even though we spoke almost no English. It makes you feel very integrated. Explains everything very well.
The food was super delicious and we ended up full with all of Ha's recommendations.
Thank you, highly recommended!

Ninh Binh is well preserved and stunning! - Tong Thao was our private guide. We did a 3-day tour in Ninh Binh. $50/person/day including lunch and private car.
Day 1:
@ 8am pick up from Hanoi, arrived at Trang Anh boat tour @ 10:30am. We did the longest boat tour, made 3 under-cave passages. It was super cool and amazing! Thao introduced the scenic tour and took lots of photos for us. She's really good at snatching photos whenever she could.
@1pm, we had lunch at a secluded beautiful spot.
@2pm, we checked in our retreat and took a rest
@5pm, Thao took us to the bird paradise to see sunset and local birds, on a boat tour again. Very relaxing and fun.
@7pm, she cooked dinner for us at her house. Home-made food is always the best!
Day 2:
@ 9am pick up to Van Long for another boat tour, surrounded by lilies and along the beautiful jagging mountains. We saw a few endangered white-tail monkeys snacking fruits on a branch overhanging the river.
@ 11am, Cuc Phuong Național Park. We hiked a little bit to see the thousand year old tree. Coming from California coast, seeing plenty of huge redwoods, we weren't too impressed of the tree. We did see lots of butterfly colonies and had our first encounter of leech... That wasn't fun at the moment, but definitely became our highlight of the trip.
@12pm, Thao brought her own cooking for us for a picnic by the lake.
@1pm, educational monkey sanctuary inside the national park.
@3pm, we visited Bai Dinh Pagoda. The sheer sizes of the buddhas are overwhelming. The locations of the sites are all very close by. This site was an addition to our original plan. We paid 1 million dong extra for the pagoda visit. But it's worth it to see the biggest pagoda in Vietnam.
Day 3:
@ 9am pick up to climb Mua Cave. The climb wasn't too hard nor long. The scenery was stunning.
@ 11am Thao lead us for a scenic bike tour around Tam Coc. Wearing slippers only, Thao was able to bike one hand on bumpy roads and take videos and videos of us.
@12:30pm, another amazing lunch at a hidden spot at a cliff edge by the river. It's traditional Vietnamese food plus french fries.
@3pm back to Hanoi.
In Ninh Binh, we stayed at Trang An Retreat, $40/night including breakfast.
Thanks to Thao's generosity and professionalism, this short trip to Ninh Binh has been one of the best short excursions we had!

Do not eat before you go! - My wife and I did the tour with Phuong. Firstly we were picked up promptly in front of our hotel and got started right away. She navigated us through the old quarter of Hanoi and gave us some history behind the area, which was awesome. We stopped at 8 different place to try multiple different courses of good. We had appetizers, finger foods, main courses and deserts. I will not ruin the surprises of what we had, but I will say that we ate some of the best food I have ever had the pleasure of trying. I have to give extra credit to Phuong, because she went above and beyond what we were expecting with knowledge of the food and the places we saw. I would give extra stars if I could! If you are in Hanoi and get the chance, definitely reach out to her and take this tour. Now a good nap is in order. 😀😀
