You Must!! - Rose’s cooking class experience is one of the real hidden treasures of Hanoi! Her hospitality was a genuine invitation on my first day in the city. Accessing a local market with guidance and creating your own Vietnamese dishes, accompanied by her professionalism and humor, is a top experience. Fresh. Delicious. Learning about key ingredients, how they enhance each dish and the secret to crispy spring rolls was so much fun! This experience was recommended to me by a fellow traveller several weeks back and it hits the mark. I’m grateful she had time in her schedule to fit me in. A certain 10/10! I DO wish I’d taken more photos but I was so engaged in the process and conversation that living behind the lens was not on the agenda.

"Unforgettable Hanoi Adventures with the Best Guide Ever, Rose!" - Six years ago, we first arrived in Hanoi and were warmly greeted by Rose, our guide. Her expertise and enthusiasm made our experience unforgettable. Fast forward to September, we were lucky enough to return and once again reached out to Rose. She introduced us to new areas both within and beyond Hanoi, ensuring each visit felt fresh. From discovering hidden food gems to zipping through the city by motorbike, we had such a great time. We had a really lovely day outside of Hanoi in a village called Mai Hich where we biked among the rice fields, chatted with the locals and enjoyed a lunch at a home stay. A special highlight was cooking a meal with Rose and her family at her home. Rose's infectious energy, local insights, and personal touch made us feel at ease in this bustling city. If you're looking for an exceptional guide, look no further—Rose is simply the best!

Street food tour guide. - This was my wife's second rendezvous with Rose. She visited Hanoi 18months ago and couldn't wait to rebook a second street food tour with her. Rose was a brilliant tour guide with an incredible knowledge of vietnams history, the local people, and of course the food!!! I couldn't recommend her more highly. Rose also organized a motorbike tour for us, which was equally as good.

Memorable experience - Thank you for a wonderful local street food tour, it made our trip to Hanoi very special. Your deep knowledge, patience, and accommodating nature made the experience truly enjoyable for us, especially with the kids. Although the kids were a bit fussy at first, your understanding and flexibility helped us all settle in, and we all had a fantastic time. We really appreciate your effort in making the tour memorable and will definitely recommend your tour!

4 fantastic days of adventure - 4 full days. 2 in Hanoi, 2 outside of the city. Difficult to decide on the best part of the 4 days of activities Ms. Nguyen was flexible and was able to rearrange/adjust the planned schedule due to our perceived weather impacts. I am sure it was a pain. Lots of fantastic food, Adventure with motorcycle/scooter tour. Cooking class in her home. Street food tour. Ha Long bay with cave visits, kayaking, lunch on boat. Great time and well taken care of. The driver and KIA Carnival were both excellent both in town and out of town.

A must-do activity in Hanoi, Vietnam - We stopped at so many hidden gems and tasted so many local dishes. The tour guide, Rose, is actually a chef and highly knowledgeable about the local cuisine. It was such a pleasure to spend the day with a fantastic tour guide.

If in Hanoi, don’t miss Rose! - What a wonderful three days we spent with Rose! First she took us on a streetfoodtour where we ate so many different local delicacies at places you would definitely miss out on going by yourselves. Ofcourse, Banh Mi and Egg Coffee were also included 😉 Rose took us on a scootertour the next day where she showed us the bigger Hanoi, and in the meantime telling us so much about the Vietnamese traditions, culture and religions. In the evening, we went to her place at the outskirts of Hanoi. We did some local shopping with her for the dishes we would prepare that evening. Again, everything was so nicely arranged and we were so welcomed by her and her family. An evening to remember with great recipes to bring home! Finally, the morning after she took us to Ninh Binh, where we explored the Am Tien Cave, took a boat ride at Trang An and after a superb lunch we biked through the ricefields at Tam Coc. We were very happy to have met Rose and would highly recommend her as a tourguide!

Delightful Day on The Bay with Sammy ! - Sammy has a warm, delightful personality and is thoughtful and very efficient in terms of planning a full day that utilizes your time wisely. I enjoyed learning about the local culture, local cooking, and family life in the Halong Bay region of Vietnam. We had the choice to go to Hanoi or spend less time driving and delve a bit deeper in the surrounding area. Sammy knew I had a keen interest in cooking and learning about the food in this region, and delivered a wonderful discourse on local food markets and ingredients, complete with photos from her phone. She took us straight away to a small farming village. We were the only visitors there, and enjoyed learning about how and why the property is divided among the villagers. We were able to visit their village temple, and see the monks tending to everyday chores. She arranged for a large boat out to the Dong Thien Cung (Limestone Caves). Do not miss this - unlike anything I have ever seen. Majestic and dramatic caves, full of stalagmites and stalactites. Sammy arranged an absolute feast on the boat for lunch featuring (caught that morning) fresh local seafood from grilled oysters, to a sweet type of grouper, and everything inbetween. She even arranged for non-seafood lunch for one of the members of our group who does not eat seafood. She is especially adept at the menu planning and arranging the cooking of lunch (by a chef), since she also runs a small cooking school as a side business. If I had the time I would have enjoyed taking one of her cooking classes. We transferred to a sampan and continued to enjoy exploring the caves, recently crowned a UNESCO world heritage site. From here we visited a pearl farm. The manufacture of pearls was intriguing. The price of the pearls seemed to be on par or slightly less than the retail you might pay in the US.They were beautiful and I might suggest bargaining if you want to purchase either plain pearls or pearl jewelry. I noticed there are various types of "farms" in Vietnam that range from pearls to silk. I could not help but get the sense these are operating specifically for the tourist trade. They exist in all 6 of the countries I visited in Southeast Asia. They are engineered to appeal to tourists from all over the world, so do not be surprised if some of the styles are not quite what you might expect for a USA customer. I would whole heartedly recommend Sammy for your tour, and know she is very willing to adapt the day to suit your requests. It's an interesting area, so do some homework so you will have the background context to fully appreciate what you are seeing.
