- Chinatown - The largest and oldest Chinatown in Korea. As black bean noodles originated from this area, we will have them for lunch after exploring Chinatown. There is a museum presenting the history of the noodle; also, interestingly, there is a small Taoist temple. It will be a unique experience to visit the Taoist temple and hear the story of why Taoism is practiced here rather than Buddhism.
- Incheon Jayu Park - Right behind Chinatown, there is a small park that first opened in 1888; it is the first Western-style park in Korea. There is a statue of General MacArthur in the park; listen to the story of why the statue of this American war hero was erected here!
- Jemulpo Club - Jemulpo Club was built in 1901 as a social gathering place for foreigners living in Incheon. It was later used as a small local museum for quite some time, and since 2019, it has been a multi-cultural space for various public events. It has also been used as a setting for TV dramas.
- Gaehangjang Yeoksa Munhwaui Geoli - As Incheon was the first gateway to Korea in the late 18th century, many cultural and historical properties from modern times were built in this area. Walking through the street to the “Shinpo” local market, we will stop by some interesting historical spots. If you are interested in modern history, there are plenty of fascinating stories to discover. If not, don’t worry; along the way, you’ll find great spots to take retro-style photos! At the Shinpo market, we will explore some famous local foods. Additionally, if time permits, we will visit a nearby Catholic church—the first church built with Gothic design in Korea!
