Great for getting your Bearings - One of the things we do is to take a Hop on Hop off Bus Tour of major City's that we travel to . You get to see all the Major attractions and the City Life . Just hop off at a stop , visit an attraction and hop back on the Bus . The Tickets were well priced . The Earphones were not the Best and mine gave up the Ghost in about 5 minutes so I turned on Google Maps to see where we were . We picked up the Bus at the Opera House .

Great - A great way to see the sights. You can stay at each location as long or short as you like. Good commentary. Take water. Good views from the upperdeck but no aircon so they provide conical hats. You have the ootion to sit downstairs in the aircon.

We recommend taking a tour around the city!! - There are four types of tickets (1 lap, 4 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours). The departure point is in front of Hoan Kiem Lake on weekdays, and in front of the Opera House on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. I took the 1 lap ticket departing at 3pm on Monday from Hoan Kiem Lake near my hotel. It was 900 yen. After reading reviews, I found that other tickets had a lot of negative reviews about not being able to transfer properly, so I chose the 60-minute 1 lap ticket, which was very good. It was a hot, sunny day, but it was comfortable once we started riding. They also lend out Vietnamese parasols. I was able to listen to the explanations in Japanese with free headphones. I was able to tour the old town on my own, but it was nice to be able to see the city of Hanoi from a high place. The ticket was paid for with ANA miles, which I was able to exchange for Belta activities, which was helpful (I had miles that expired at the end of March, so I was glad I didn't waste them).

Very Enjoyable - I loved this trip. I'd walked and visited many of the destinations already and it was great to see them from above and how they were linked to each other geographically. It was very enjoyable sitting up top in the late afternoon,a lovely breeze. Great to see the traffic and the roads. There was audio, that lagged and occasionally caught up, but it was fun trying to spot the target. Cheap and a great way to get around the city. Highly recommend at the beginning of your trip.

Interesting historical sights - Some location drop-offs were a couple blocks from the actual site. Also, the commentary did not always match what one could see – although it was very interesting. The upstairs has a better view than downstairs. The price was comparable to other city tours. Make sure you get an approximate time schedule of when the buses are arriving at their various sites. Ho Chi Minh mausoleum is only open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. We found the temple of literature very interesting.

Hanoi City Hop on Hop off bus tour. - Probably not worth it unless you have an hour to kill. Buying ticket fine, getting on fine however, English guide thru the ear buds was not on the English channel. Eventually found the channel which was ok with a lot of ok info with a few bright golden nuggets e.g 5 million motorbike for a 7 million population 🤔 and walking around it felt like it. The bus was ok, no hold ups and a great view of traffic jams, no a few key buildings and that’s your lot. Obviously saw a few things we may not of seen during our few days here. Staff were polite and with a gentle breeze it made the trip a bit more enjoyable. Glad we didn’t do the 90 minute tour!

Not the best one in the world - We spent a lot of time waiting for the bus that was either late, didn’t show up, or sat at the women’s museum where we had to change bus and wait for 30min on a non moving bus. There seemed to be different routes although only one map.

Poor experience - We had a really poor experience with this tour and wished we hadn’t wasted our money. It did not include everything they list out on the website is “included” and the employees on the bus were not helpful and were completely uninterested in their customers. The bus did take us to most of the main attractions (the weekend route is shorter and doesn’t include a couple stops) but it just wasn’t a pleasant experience. In addition to that, it was hard to get tickets (website wasn’t working and no contacts listed helped, so had to buy in person and they only took cash). I have taken such tours in other cities and they can be a great experience - this one just needs to be better managed!

Bus stops very hard to find - The website DOES NOT show where the bus stops are. Bus stops often nowhere near attractions and hard to find. Bought online to catch near the cathedral mid route and the bus stop is not even close. I had to stop the bus in the street. Just adding the precise bus stop locations and a direction of travel on their map would solve it.

Complete waste of time (unless you like traffic jams) - Never has so little been learnt by so many. Complete lack of relevant or interesting information; the information that is given is always cut off in the middle of the sentence and is about buildings or a part of the city that you aren’t at. The route goes up and down the same roads several times, which given that the average speed is 2 mph, makes for an incredibly boring tour.
