Fabulous views of the “not so busy” side of Ha Long Nay - Fabulous tour of HaLong Bay. Must do the 3 day 2 night tour. The cabins were beautifully appointed. The food was fabulous. The excursions were life changing. The excursion that stood out the most was the afternoon they took all the guests to a private beach. They had moved all the tables and chairs from the main boat to the beach. The tables had white linen table cloths. They BBQ’d our lunch on the beach. They also included portable bar that served beer and your favorite cocktail. The staff were very attentive to the guests the entire 3 days. Local nightly entertainment from a few of the crew was a lovely touch. A must do if wanting to see the “not so busy” side of Ha Long Bay. I would highly recommend this company.

Book 2 nights! - We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day/2 night cruise on Dragon Legend. Food was amazing - a real taste of Vietnam with multiple courses to enjoy. SO much food! The service was first rate from all staff - we were so impressed, they went above and beyond. If you book 2 nights you will enjoy an idyllic 2nd day cruising in a smaller boat to deserted areas of the bay. We loved the 2nd day kayaking - a chance to explore. Best part for us was bbq lunch on our own deserted sandy beach and a cool swim. Loved it all. Get organised with water as plastic bottles are not allowed in Halong Bay. Wine is expensive on board. It’s a real luxury trip - loved it.

Serene - felt like we were away for a week - Fantastic trip - definitely recommend two nights. Tips: - take a reusable water bottle with you - apply bug spray before you go on excursions - you only need sturdy sandals for the excursions (not sneakers) - do all the activities - eat all the food; and - take a card game to play during quiet times. Beds are comfortable, shower is great, views are amazing... The staff are what make this cruise outstanding.

Unforgettable ! - We recommend this cruise without any hesitation. Absolutely magnificent, aboard the Dragon Legend! We left Hanoi by comfortable bus, with 4 other people. Arriving in Halong we took a shuttle to the Dragon Legend. For 3 days we participated in activities, including evening squid fishing, a banquet on the beach, morning Tai Chi classes and kayaking around the rocky islets. About the kayaks, they are old, without backrest and very uncomfortable. It's a shame, because it takes away a lot from the experience and we enjoy less of the exceptional beauty of the place, because our backs quickly become painful. Apart from this downside, this 3-day cruise is truly wonderful and the chef is a true artist.

Don’t hesitate, book your eco friendly Halong Bay trip with Indochina Junk now! - My friend and I went on Indochina Junk 12-15 March 2024. We highly recommend going! We searched far and wide to find a Halong Bay cruise that was eco friendly and not busy and Indochina Junk delivered. We were in Bai Tu Long Bay which looks exactly the same as Halong Bay but with no crowds. For example, we went kayaking one day and we were the only boat around and this was consistent with our other activities. On last day Indochina Junk catered the timing so we would have minimal cross over with the other boats. Our boat fit about 20 guests which was perfect. I don’t think I could go on a boat with any more guests than that. The rooms were beautiful with big windows for views all day, the food was extremely good and they catered for dietary restrictions excellently. They had fun activities each night which included a surprise birthday celebration for those having their birthday that month. I immediately considered going back with my partner as this was excellent value. Coco our guide was very organised, knowledgeable and helpful. We loved our time amongst the Baby Dragon Pearls!

Gastronomic cruise on Halong Bay - I was advised to use that agency to book a Halong Bay cruise a couple of years ago by American tourists who I met in Hanoi. We went four of us and had a wonderful experience on a Dragon's Pearl boat with a maximun of 20 pax, 2 nights on the junk. If the sky was cloudy, we appreciate the organization from Hanoi old quarter, the lovely staff and in addition to that, I can say that it is a gastronomic cruise. To recommend for sure !!!

Very good. - Just finished this cruise. Overall very good but I wouldn’t give it a 5 star. Food was good, but repetitive (shrimp every meal just done with different sauce for example), rices, etc. Quality of food and table side service was excellent. Rooms were roomy and better than I expected. Rooftop deck is fabulous and has plenty of room for all guests if the weather cooperates. No major complaints - but before I give out a 5 star rating it would need to wow me and it definitely did not. Very happy I went. I would definitely recommend.

A disappointment - We did a lot of research for this trip and decided we wanted to do the quieter cruise along Bai Tu Long Bay and thought the reviews of this company looked good. The positives were that the company were very quick to answer any queries before we went, the trip was very well organised and we were collected and dropped off from out hotel in Hanoi. The staff were all lovely and very helpful on the boat and the food was both plentiful and very good. The scenery was stunning and we enjoyed the kayaking and beach BBQ. The negatives are mainly around the boat which is described as luxury. Our room was shabby and needs a serious upgrade, with paper hanging off the walls in places. This isn't a cheap trip 2 nights for 2 people was £ 700 and for Vietnam that is really expensive. There were a few games on the boat and the majority were useless as peices were missing. This is most important when the weather's poor and it isn't possible to be outside enjoying sunny weather. This was meant to be the highlight of our fabulous trip to Vietnam and sadly was very lacking.

Incredibly overpriced with subpar facilities - To preface this review, the crew were very friendly and helpful. However, the facilities and the boat in general were incredibly subpar by any measure, let alone a company that markets themselves as a luxury cruise and charges the amount they do (relative to the cost of all other activities in Vietnam). The boat overall was quite shabby and worn down, the bathrooms were in poor condition and my cabin was very small and cramped. The cabin also felt damp the entire duration of the trip. I would highly recommend looking at other providers for a Ha Long Bay cruise
