Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival – City Tour (L/D)

Welcome to Phnom Penh! This city beautifully blends traditional Khmer and colonial styles, featuring French villas and tree-lined sidewalks. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred for lunch before checking into your hotel. After a brief rest, embark on a visit to the stunning Khmer-style Royal Palace complex, built in 1866 by the predecessors of King Norodom. The palace grounds include the coronation hall, an open-air theatre for the Royal Dance Troupe, and the King’s private residence, which is open to the public when the King is not in residence. Nearby, explore the Silver Pagoda (the Emerald Buddha Temple), home to numerous Buddha statues adorned with gold, diamonds, gemstones, and silver. The tour continues with a stop at the Independence Monument and a visit to the National Museum, a beautiful example of Khmer architecture housing over 5,000 art pieces made from bronze, wood, gold, silver, copper, sandstone, and more. Enjoy a stroll through the riverfront park where four rivers, including the mystical Mekong, converge. Dinner and overnight stay in Phnom Penh.

Day 2: Phnom Penh – City Tour – Departure (B/L)

After breakfast, start your day with a visit to the sacred hill Phnom Daun Penh, which is also the name of a pagoda and the origin of the capital’s name. The final stop is the Central Market, a large market built in 1937 with a dome design and four arms extending into vast hallways filled with countless stalls. The market’s initial design and layout were created by French architect Louis Chauchon. Finally, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
