Long Bien Bridge - We’ll start cycling from our bike store, navigating through some alleys and backstreets along the Red River Delta, and passing by the Long Bien market. You’ll then ride up to the Long Bien Bridge. We’ll cross the Red River via the Long Bien Bridge, the oldest bridge in Hanoi, built over 100 years ago during the French colonial period. Enjoy the view of the Red River, watch boats float underneath, and see the green vegetable farms on the island.
-
Co Loa Citadel - We’ll cycle along the Red River banks to the countryside, where you’ll see lush green rice farms and vegetable fields. We’ll ride through backroads and rural paths, and upon reaching the countryside, you’ll meet local farmers and learn about their daily lives. We’ll visit a local family to gain more insight into local life and traditions, with our guide assisting in conversations for a richer local interaction. We’ll continue cycling through rice paddies and head to a local market to experience the vibrant wet market in the countryside.
-
Co Loa Citadel - We’ll continue cycling through dirt roads and rural villages to reach Co Loa Citadel. Built in 275 BC, this ancient citadel offers a glimpse into Vietnam’s history of nation-building and defense against foreign invaders under Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong. After visiting the citadel, we’ll visit a local family, explore their farm, enjoy a fruit garden, and then cycle back to Hanoi. We’ll ride through rural paths, see remnants of rice paddies, and explore traditional villages before concluding our trip in Hanoi.
