Excellent cooking and culture class - Maxie the chef was excellent. The market tour was very cool and she took time to teach me some Vietnamese words as well as a lot about the culture and history. Her English was excellent as well. She was happy to answer my questions about what I should add to my itinerary for the rest of my trip as well.
The food was amazing and there was so much of it. She was an excellent instructor and I will be bringing her tips back home with me to cook for my friends and family! I would highly recommend you book this class!

Great experience and awesome host - We had a great time! Maxie was a really great host! She first took us around the food markets and taught us some basic phrases in Vietnamese to buy the food ourselves before going back to the hostel to cook. The process was a lot of fun and the food was delicious - especially the spring rolls. Maxie was great to talk to, we felt like we were just hanging out with a friend. Highly recommend!

Vietnam Cuisine - Awesome Adventure & Experience!! - Aloha!.....had a great, pleasurable, and wonderful day with Chef Maxie!....who was also a ‘wonderful food tour guide’……knowledgeable, hospitable and a great person!....as we enjoyed the morning trip to the wet markets to see and buy first-hand fresh products for all of the day’s meal courses….such a great opportunity! From making spring rolls, pho, and more is such a great way to dive into Vietnamese cuisine!……enjoyed the day prepping, cooking and savoring the aromas & taste and the many ways of mixing in different herbs, spices of Vietnamese cuisine for each dish learned…..as it becomes one of my natural “taste sensation!”…. an awesome way in understanding more about Vietnamese culture through great food & friends! Be prepared to “Have Fun!” Mahalo nui loa Chef Maxie! Aloha!

Cooking and dining - We had a fantastic experience! Our group of ten—five kids and five adults—ventured to the market to shop for ingredients, then returned to prepare and cook together. Although we found ourselves rushing toward the end after spending more time than expected on preparations, the overall day was a success. They did a wonderful job catering to vegan preferences, and we even sampled a local fruit whose name translates to “breast milk.” Egg coffee stole the show, and we also got to try some apricot liqueur. Maxi and Alex did a great job, keeping the experience fun and engaging for everyone.

What a fantastic... - What a fantastic experience! Our group of 10—five kids and five adults—ventured to the market to shop for fresh ingredients before returning to cook together. Although we ended up rushing at the end due to spending more time than expected on preparation, the vegan option was executed wonderfully, and the egg coffee truly stole the show. We tried a Vietnamese fruit ( which literally translates to breast milk)

Recommend! Alex and Maxie are great. - We had a large group of 10--5 adults and 5 children and while the tour did go over time, Alex and Maxie were great and did their best to include all the children and adults. The highlight of the tour for me was visiting the market. I wish we could have spent more time there but you can only do so much in 3.5 hours! My kids (outside of the 5 year whom it was too long for) had a great time. They also accommodated me as a vegetarian. I would probably give 4.5 stars but my husband and kids loved it so 5 stars it is!

Amazing market tour and cooking experience - We had a wonderful afternoon with Alex, he took us on a trip to the wet markets then gave us an unreal cooking experience!
Well worth the money for a great experience to learn Vietnamese cuisine.
