I've been to many temples... - I've been to many temples and pagodas, never fully understanding the what and why and the etiquette of incense burning. I do now. Dan, Hanoi tour guide did an amazing job of explaining history and culture of the pagodas. The stairs were a work out but, worth it. Dan also took us to a restaurant with authentic home cooking style of local cuisine. It was delicious. I forgot to take a picture of the restaurants name for future reference. I just know it was blocks from the silk village. I didn't have much luck finding anything I liked at the silk village though. Thankfully I already got some handicrafts silk scarfs in Cambodia from local artisan. If you're interested in understanding culture and beliefs of the pagodas, I highly recommend the tour.
