Chua Tran Quoc - The first stop is Tran Quoc Pagoda, located on Thanh Nien Road. With a history of about 1,400 years, it is the oldest temple in Thang Long – Hanoi and Vietnam. Situated on a small peninsula on the east side of Hanoi’s West Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda is considered the most ancient pagoda in Hanoi, with a history spanning over 1,500 years.
The architecture of this Buddhist center is a delicate blend of solemnity and beauty, set against the peaceful and quiet ambiance of West Lake. Due to its historical and architectural significance, Tran Quoc Pagoda attracts many visitors from both inside and outside Hanoi.
- Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum - The next stop is the Ho Chi Minh complex, where you can see the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh and walk around the garden to see the two houses where he lived and worked from 1954 to 1969. Then, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, which worships the Goddess of Mercy and is considered the most unique pagoda in the world.
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is a significant historical site in Hanoi, honoring the national hero, President Ho Chi Minh. The Chairman Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (Vietnamese: Lăng Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh) is the resting place of Vietnamese Revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi. It is a large building located in the center of Ba Dinh Square, where Ho Chi Minh, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Vietnam from 1951 until his death in 1969, read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
- Vietnam Museum of Ethnology - Continue to the Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about the culture of the 54 ethnic groups living throughout Vietnam. The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is both a research center and a public museum showcasing the ethnic groups of Vietnam. Its mission includes scientific research, collection, documentation, conservation, exhibition, and preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of the nation’s various ethnic groups. The museum also guides research, conservation, and technology specific to ethnographic work. In future plans, the museum aims to present the cultures and civilizations of other Southeast Asian countries and the region.
*Special Note: On Mondays, we will visit the Women’s Museum instead of the Ethnology Museum, which is closed.
