Travis and our driver... - Travis and our driver were GREAT. Travis was super accommodating regarding what we would like to see not in the itinerary. We saw some areas and sites that we had not seen previously. Also, when we went to a cafe, he told us we could order anything we wanted which was super appreciated. We had a great time.

Very enjoyable tour! - We really enjoyed the tour - our guide, Devin, was kind, friendly and knowledgeable. The mausoleum was closed on the day we booked it and so we could only see it from the outside - we asked if we could swap the mausoleum visit for a trip to Train street instead - he was super flexible and changed the timings to make it happen. He also booked ahead to make sure we had a good position on Train street and gave our teenage son some bottle tops to put on the rails. He also booked us a restaurant for the end of the trip, which he didn’t need to do. Such a fun morning all round. We’d highly recommend.

Wonderful Tour - Levy was awesome! He is so knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I learned so much in 4 hours and really enjoyed this tour. This was our favorite tour and guide during our 1-month honeymoon across Thailand and Vietnam.

8-Hour Journey: Breathe in Hanoi Touch its Soul - Review: 8-Hour Journey: Breathe in Hanoi Touch its Soul I recently had the opportunity to experience a wonderful evening in Hanoi, and I would like to share my itinerary on TripAdvisor. This 8-hour plan, starting in the afternoon and ending late in the evening, is perfect for those with limited time but who still want to fully embrace the beauty of Vietnam’s capital city. 1:00 PM - Hoa Lo Prison The afternoon began with a visit to Hoa Lo Prison, a historic site not to be missed. The museum vividly recreates stories of patriotism and sacrifice during the resistance era. What makes this visit even more meaningful is the discounted 50% ticket price for students and seniors, as well as free entry for children under 15 and war veterans. 3:00 PM - Hoan Kiem Walking Street After exploring Hoa Lo Prison, I headed to Hoan Kiem Walking Street. This is the perfect time to enjoy Hanoi's street food. Snacks like crispy fried dumplings (banh goi), sweet honey doughnuts (banh ran mat), warm rice flour cake (banh duc nong), sticky rice balls in ginger syrup (banh troi tau), and the iconic Trang Tien ice cream left a great impression on me. Don't forget to try egg coffee—a unique specialty found only in Hanoi. 4:00 PM - St. Joseph’s Cathedral The next stop in the late afternoon was St. Joseph’s Cathedral. With its stunning Gothic architecture and peaceful atmosphere, this place offered a moment of serenity amid the bustling city. It’s also a great spot for photography or simply resting. 6:00 PM - Dinner (at Bep Prime or restaurants near the old town) Dinner marked a relaxing time after an active afternoon. I chose Bep Prime restaurant to enjoy delicious dishes such as coconut salad with shrimp, grilled goby fish with salt and chili, and pigeon sticky rice. For those seeking other local specialties, nearby restaurants offer dishes like cha ca La Vong (grilled fish), fried spring rolls (nem ran), or crab hotpot (lau rieu cua). 7:00 PM - Thang Long Imperial Citadel Night Tour As night fell, I joined the Thang Long Imperial Citadel night tour. With enchanting lights and engaging historical stories, it felt like a magical journey back in time. The tour also has attractive discounts: 50% off for children under 12 and free admission for kids under 5, making it a great option for families. 9:00 PM - Flag-Lowering Ceremony at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum The day concluded with the solemn flag-lowering ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. This was a moving moment, evoking pride and reverence for the values and legacy of President Ho Chi Minh. Conclusion This afternoon-to-evening itinerary in Hanoi was not only enjoyable but also deeply meaningful. Combining historical exploration, culinary delights, and cultural experiences, it’s a schedule I highly recommend to anyone looking to make the most of their time in the capital.

A tour worth having. - The cathedral of St Joseph. It was so angelic being a Catholic. I was touched how to dress appropriately by covering my bare shoulders with some aided scarf outside. The Temple of Literature showcased how to become a scholar or pursue one’s academic excellence.
