- Chua Tran Quoc - Trấn Quốc Pagoda in Hanoi is the city’s oldest pagoda, originally built in the sixth century during Emperor Lý Nam Đế’s reign (544-548), making it over 1,500 years old. Initially named Khai Quoc (National Founding), it was located on the Red River’s shores outside the Yen Phu Dyke. Due to river encroachment, it was moved in 1615 to Kim Ngu (Golden Fish) islet on Ho Tay (West Lake), where it now stands, connected to the mainland by a small causeway. The last major renovation was in 1815, updating the main sanctuary, reception hall, and posterior hall of the dead.

Visitors can explore extensive research at this public museum, which also serves as a center for ethnographic research.
- Hoa Lo Prison - We will return to the city center to visit Hoa Lo Prison, built by the French from 1886 to 1901 when Vietnam was part of French Indochina. Known as Maison Centrale by the French, the prison was dubbed “A Hell on Earth.” It now serves as a war museum for those interested in learning more about Vietnam’s struggle against France.
- Hanoi - At the end of the day, we will say goodbye to our guide and driver and drop guests off at their hotels or accommodations in Hanoi.
NOTE: There are two options available before the tour ends: a Cyclo Tour around the Old Quarter or a Water Puppet Show (not included in the tour, extra payment required).
Cyclo is a typical vehicle in Hanoi, a human-powered transport with a passenger seat at the front and the driver at the back. It’s the best way to explore the picturesque Old Quarter.
Water puppetry, dating back to the 11th century, originated in the Red River Delta villages of northern Vietnam. Known in Vietnam as Múa rối nước, meaning ‘making puppets dance on water,’ it is a tradition rich in history.
