Our tour guide will pick you up then we will start our Hanoi Old Quarter Walking Tour. The first destination of the tour will stop by Hoan Kiem Lake, considered the heart of Hanoi. You can observe many locals interesting activities such as playing badminton, doing exercises. - Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - Then, we head to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex. A traffic-free area of botanical gardens, monuments, memorials and pagodas. Within the complex are Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House and the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh Museum and the One Pillar Pagoda.
- Temple of Literature & National University - Temple of Literature & National University is originally built as a university in 1070 dedicated to Confucius, scholars and sages, the building is extremely well preserved and is a superb example of traditional-style Vietnamese architecture. Visiting the Temple of Literature you will discover historic buildings from the Ly and Tran dynasties in a revered place that has seen thousands of doctors’ graduate in what has now become a memorial to education and literature.
- Hoa Lo Prison - Hoa Lo Prison ironically nicknamed the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ by US prisoners of war (POWs) during the American War. Most exhibits relate to the prison’s use up to the mid-1950s, focusing on the Vietnamese struggle for independence from France.
- Vietnam National Museum of History - The museum is now housing over 200,000 objects and materials which are relics of Vietnamese history flowing from pre-history to the present. Among these, many are Vietnamese antiquities and 18 are recognized as Vietnam’s national treasures.

Beautiful and enriched experience - Oanh was an amazing tour guide! I let her know that I'd already been to the Prison Museum and Train Street so she tailored the tour to suit this. We went to Dong Xuan market, the Heritage House, and then the lake and the temple. I learnt a lot about Vietnamese culture, and also told Oanh about my own culture. Though you can visit these places without a guide, I think her knowledge added so much depth to my experience. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent experience with free walking tour of Hanoi - We booked a free walking tour with our home stay and were greeted with Gracie. She was punctual, kind and polite. She was really easy to get along with and full of knowledge. We tailored our walking tour to our time frame and interests which was fantastic. Couldn’t have asked for a more informative and lovely tour! Highly recommend

Walking tour - It was a fun and a great experience for me. Sahra was good, and she is a good tour guide. The memorable experience was trying the egg coffee, and crossing into the traffic streets, this is one I should known better because is common in my country too "just raise your hand while crossing the street, and the vehicle will stop". Great Tours for Free in Hanoi, really free - We had a wonderful time with them and their Rep Miss Khánh Ly and her young friend did amazing leadership for describing Ho Noi for us

10/10 recommend - We had a great tour with Hai and Lan Anh visiting Hoan Kiem Lake, the Cathedral and Train Street among other things. They were really informative and it was pleasure to walk the city with them. 10/10 recommend.

Great experience with local tour guide - Really informative tour guide. Guided us very well from pick up to planning places to giving the history of each place. Very sociable. Tour guide helped guide me safely crossing the dangerous roads by holding hands for assurance

The best experience - Manh and lihn arrived on time and even gave us time to eat our bahn mi. He messaged us the night prior and ask if we have requests which I think was thoughtful.
We really enjoyed this tour. We learned so much from both of them and we are so happy that we met them.
Do not hesitate to books this tour!! This is one of the best decisions that I made in this tour
