Y Linh Ho - 13:00: Arrive in Sapa town and be captivated by the vibrant traditional costumes of the H’mong, Dzao, and Tay ethnic groups. Enjoy welcome drinks and a briefing on the itinerary, followed by a lunch featuring local Vietnamese dishes before trekking to the homestay. At 14:30 PM, embark on a trek to Y Linh Ho Village, renowned for its poetic and untamed beauty. Y Linh Ho is a small commune consisting of several small hamlets scattered across challenging mountainous terrain with steep peaks. The Black H’mong, who number in the hundreds, reside in this commune. This village is home to the Black Mong, who wear dark clothing in blacks and navy, dyed with indigo, often visible on the hands of older Mong women.
Lao Chai Valley View - Continue hiking through the rice terraces along Muong Hoa Stream to Lao Chai, where the Black H’mong people reside. This marks the beginning of the Muong Hoa Valley, where visitors can enjoy the fresh air, view terraced fields and streams, and visit some of the H’mong families. This offers an opportunity to interact with them and learn about their culture and customs.
Ta Van Village - In the late afternoon, continue trekking to visit Ta Van village, home to the Tay minority, for check-in at the homestay. Ta Van means “a big turning road” resembling a basket brim or tripod-leg line. The vast terraced fields with the unique position of a big turning road create a scenic landscape and make Ta Van a destination. This small village is nestled within the picturesque Muong Hoa Valley. An overnight stay here provides a close-up experience of the local lifestyle and culture.
Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai Village - Sapa to Hanoi by Bus (B, L)
Ta Van Village - 8:00: Enjoy breakfast prepared by the family and start a new day with an exciting trek. At 8:45, continue walking to the rice paddies for a photo session of the stunning surrounding landscapes. Trek through the bamboo forest and stop for a panoramic view of Giang Ta Chai village, home to the Red Dzao people.
Giang Ta Chai Village - Giang Ta Chai village in Sapa, Vietnam, is home to the Red Zao minority people, located at the foot of the Fanxipan Mountain range, on the right side of Muong Hoa Valley. The village offers travelers breathtaking views of mountains and rice paddy fields on the opposite side of Muong Hoa Valley. Visitors will meet the Red Zao minority to experience their lifestyle and learn about their unique culture. The Red Zao minority is the second-largest group of hill minority people in Sapa, Vietnam, known for their colorful traditional costumes.
