Old Quarter - 07:15 AM – 7:30 AM: The guide and driver will pick you up from your accommodation in the Hanoi Old Quarter Area and head to Ninh Binh. The journey takes approximately 2 hours, including a short break along the way.
Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - Explore Hoa Lư, the ancient capital of Vietnam from 968 to 1010. This is an opportunity to delve into Vietnamese history during the feudal era under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasties. Hoa Lu is a major attraction in Ninh Binh, recognized as a National Heritage Complex and part of the Trang An World Heritage Complex by UNESCO. The historical site spans 13.87 square kilometers in Ninh Binh. Visitors can immerse themselves in the history of Hoa Lu, the first capital of Vietnam, associated with significant victories during the Dinh, Pre-Le, and early Ly dynasties.
Tam Coc - Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring a variety of local dishes. Afterward, continue the tour with a bamboo boat ride through Tam Coc. The breathtaking scenery includes paddy fields, rivers, clouds, sky, and a remarkable cave system, often referred to as “Ha Long Bay on land.” The tour continues with a cycling excursion around the village to experience local life.
The journey winds peacefully through lush fields and dramatic karsts, typically stopping at the three caves that give ‘Tam Coc’ its name: Ca, Hai, and Ba. The landscape is particularly stunning during the rice harvest season when the fields turn golden.
Mua Caves - The final stop is Mua Cave, often compared to the “Great Wall of China.” Climb 500 steps to the top for a breathtaking view of Ninh Binh and a panoramic view of Tam Coc. After ascending 500 stone steps to the scenic overlook atop Ngoa Long Mountain, travelers are rewarded with a stunning panorama of the Ngo Dong River and the paddy fields below. Along the ascent, there are several worship sites, offering insights into Vietnam’s rich Buddhist heritage.
Ninh Binh - At the end of the day, guests will be taken directly to the Bungalow for check-in, followed by dinner at the bungalow’s restaurant. Enjoy free time to relax and observe local life in the village. Overnight stay in a bungalow/homestay in Ninh Binh.
Ninh Binh to Halong Bay Day Cruise - Hanoi (End Tour) (B/L)
Tam Coc - 6:45 am - 7:15 am: After breakfast, check out from the Bungalow/Homestay. A shared limousine bus will pick you up from your accommodation in Ninh Binh and transfer you to Halong Bay for a Day Cruise (No guide during transfer). The drive to Halong Bay takes approximately 4 to 4.5 hours.
Halong Bay - Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina in Halong Bay between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM. Relax in the cruise’s lounge while waiting for the group and guide from Hanoi. The tour guide will meet you at Tuan Chau Harbor, welcome you aboard the cruise, and provide a safety briefing. The cruise embarks on a 6-hour journey along a 2-day sleeper boat cruise route, renowned for its striking, uninhabited islets and outcrops with imaginative names given by locals. Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch on board. The cruise offers a Sunset Party while returning to Tuan Chau harbor, with ample time for sunbathing on the upper deck with music, enjoying the camaraderie of fellow travelers amidst iconic natural scenery. Arrive at Tuan Chau Harbor.
Sung Sot Cave - Explore Sung Sot Cave to admire stalactites, stalagmites, and karst formations. Located on Bo Hon Island, in the heart of the UNESCO-declared World Heritage area, Sung Sot Cave is one of the largest and most impressive caves, covering around 10,000 square meters and extending over 200 meters in length. The widest section inside the cave is about 80 meters. Initially discovered by a group of French tourists, who were amazed by its beauty and named it “Grotte des surprises” – the cave of surprise. Since then, Sung Sot Cave has been known as the Surprising Cave or Amazing Cave.
Hang Luon Cave - Stop at Luon Cave for kayaking or a bamboo boat ride. Luon Cave is a tunnel-like cave, 100 meters long, 4 meters wide, and 3 meters high. Although not large compared to other caves in Halong Bay, Luon Cave is unique and filled with mystery. Situated at the base of a majestic mountain, visitors must pass under the mountain by boat to reach the other side of the island, hence the name “Luon Cave.”
Ti Top Island - Ti Top Island is renowned for its captivating scenery and pleasant climate, making Ti Top Beach a must-visit destination for those exploring Halong Bay, especially nature enthusiasts. Ti Top Island is a popular choice for tourists on Halong Bay tours due to its ideal location.
