Great experience. Great staff. - This was my first trip to India, so I didn't know how to get to Haridwar and Rishikesh, so I booked a 2-day, 1-night tour. Since there were two of us, we asked the agency to specify twin rooms in advance and to drop us off at the airport after we returned, but they handled the request smoothly. On the day of departure, a gentlemanly and kind driver came to pick us up at the hotel in Delhi and took us to Haridwar in 5 hours. On the way, the driver took care of our meals and toilet breaks, which made us feel at ease. After arriving at Haridwar, we met up with the guide. He showed us around the city. Our English skills were below elementary school level, but the guide spoke in kind English and we were able to understand the content. If we told him where we wanted to go, he would take us there and tell us the average price of the attractions. In the evening, we were satisfied to be able to see the Ganges River ceremony from the VIP seats. The driver took us to the hotel where we were staying. The driver told us to contact him if we had any trouble after we arrived at the hotel. He was very kind. Day 2. We walked around the city of Rishikesh and the religious facilities. We were also able to take a boat cruise on the Ganges River. It was convenient because we could specify the time to return and the places we wanted to go. Since my flight was leaving, I left the area in the afternoon and returned to Delhi in 5 hours. It was a very satisfying trip. I would like to use it again the next time I go. All communication is in English, but you can manage with a translation app or an English ability below elementary school level. Please note that you will have to pay for local attractions at the ticket counters.
