Drive from Barkot to Yamunotri and return (100 Kms/4 Hrs, 6 Kms trek one way)
Yamunotri Temple - Yamunotri (3293 Mts) is the source of the river Yamuna, the twin sister of Varna, the Lord of Death. Yamuna is also the daughter of Surya, the Sun. The actual source of the river is the Champasar Glacier, located 1 km ahead of the shrine, at an altitude of 4,321 meters. Upon arrival in Yamunotri by afternoon, take a holy dip in the Yamuna River and perform Pooja.
Drive from Barkot to Uttarkashi (100 Kms/4 Hrs)
Drive from Uttarkashi to Gangotri and return (100 Kms one way/4 Hrs)
Gangotri - In the morning, drive to Gangotri (3100 meters), stopping en route at the Hot Spring Gangnani. The Gangotri temple, an 18th-century temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga, is located near a sacred stone where King Bhagirathi worshipped Lord Shiva. It is believed that Ganga touched the earth at this spot. The temple is a stunning 20 ft. high structure made of white granite.
Drive from Uttarkashi to Guptakashi (230 Kms/8 Hrs)
Vishwanath Temple - In the evening, visit the Vishwanath temple and later check into the hotel.
Drive from Guptakashi to Sonprayag (32 Kms) and trek 17 kms to Kedarnath
