Our journey begins at the Magua Community, where you will meet our expert local hiking guides. Once you park your vehicle securely, you can opt to either horse ride or trek to the Salto de La Jalda National Park - approximately a three-hour journey.
The entire route spans 16 kilometers through the lush Dominican Forest - a truly immersive experience. As we pass through dense plantations of Cacao, Coconut, and Coffee, the cool shade of the sprawling cacao forest that pre-dates the park’s national designation will be your companion.
The Salto de La Jalda National Park is not just limited to cocoa plantations, there are also coffee farms. Enjoy a breather here with the magnificent view of the Salto de La Jalda in the background.
We will then proceed to the waterfalls, where you can take a refreshing swim or simply relax and snap some photos. The return journey will be along the same trail back to the parking area. To make the most of your trip, it’s best to start early in the day.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
