Lovely town but does not warrant the cost. - This is a lovely town, with lots of character, but actually very little of significance there. The stops are fairly close together and we could not see the value of trundling through quiet streets at a cost of £30 plus. Most who use the service are off the cruise ships so each bus is packed to capacity. Much better to take the short walk into the town centre.

Avoid, they are a waste of time and money! - Don't waste your money, this bus is a total rip off. Cost us £65 for 2 tickets and it just took us through housing estates. The audio was poor quality and out of sync and the only places worth stopping such has the Harold Fairhair monument were only a short walk from the ship down the coastal path. To top it off the next day we found they had charged our bank card a further 3 times taking just short of £200, luckily our bank got us it back but the Hop on Hop off company have no phone no and only an email address which they didn't respond to. They are a bad reflection on Haugesund and I am surprised the port authority allow them to operate there at the cruise terminal.

This hop on/off "tour" needs to stop. - I rarely give 1 star reviews but this hop on/off bus "tour" is a total rip off and needs to stop. £35 for a short bus trip with headphone narration out of sync with the places you are seeing.
If you like to know the history of Norweigan immigration whilst travelling through the housing estates of Haugersund then fine. The tour went past a school with a sports day going on then the local football team having a practice session. Great...
This is the most pointless and expensive bus tour I have ever been on
We stopped briefly at a coastal monument. You can walk there but the tour also talked more about how Norweigans live mainly in detached homes! Thanks for that...
I felt conned to be honest and it's not fair on people visiting who have paid alot of money for a tour with little in return.
Terrible

Most expensive bus ever - Probably the most expensive bus you will ever take. I honestly can't see where the value was in this trip. Complete journey takes about an hour but really goes just around the town. The audio guide is out of sync and seems to just tell you about the local schools, football club and immigration. Nothing of any real interest. Does not even mention the oil drilling platform that towers over the town. I'd say save your money and walk or get a taxi.

A very expensive housing estate tour - A very expensive tour of the housing estates in Haugesund. We saw nothing of interest except a monument in the middle if a field and a lot of houses that were of no cultural value. We were told later that the best option was a little train type of tour that leaves from the same place. We arrived on a cruise ship and the tours are all waiting at the port for you, from previous experience the Red bus tours had been very good, however this was not the case here. If you walk over the bridge you can access the bars and restaurants on the quayside as well as the pedastrianised shopping area

TOURIST TRAP / RIPPING OFF!! DO NOT MAKE!!! - Due to very bad weather we decided to explore the area by bus.
First of all, this was the most expensive and shortest ride we ever made.
We were ripped off increased prices, despite "promotion with discount".
We got off once and after that no bus arrived. We walked in pouring rain through the entire town to the port and did not see another hop on bus during this time.
And of course, the stand at the port was already closed and no one could be seen...
In short: classic touritrap, rip-off, DO NOT DO ANYTHING!!!

If you want to be yelled at, it's a great experience!! - Hop-on hop-off tour in Haugesund disappointing. Overbooked, aggressive driver, risk of missing bus. Avoid.

Hop on, hop off, bog off!!!! - If I could have given less than 1 star I would have. We were not informed at any point that the last bus tour left Avaldsnes (one of the hop off points) at 13:45. My sister and I were delayed and missed this but. We were told when buying the tickets that the buses came every 45 minutes so waited for the next one which never came. Only by chance did another member of our party (when exiting the bus) ask the driver if he was heading back to Avaldsnes. The driver informed her that there were no more buses and they had finished for the day. You can imagine the panic that ensued. Several of our party were extremely distressed. We were on a cruise and needed to be back at the cruise terminal before the ship departed. Another bus would have gotten us back just in time but this was now not an option. One of our party had the foresight to ordered a taxi for us, which cost almost £40. It would have been extremely helpful if there had been notification somewhere that the buses stopped part way through the afternoon. Our family had already had a dreadful experience earlier in the holiday on another hop on hop off bus tour of Stavanger (I will not trouble you at this time with that). We stupidly made a bad decision to give the company the benefit of the doubt and try again when we reached Haugesund. If it hadn’t been for that member of our party asking about the next bus my sister and I would have been stranded in a foreign country trying to get home having misted out sailing, this being the last port of call. Needless to say I will never use hop on hop off tours again.

False advertisement - Long wait. Does not stop for photo at stop 4. Another long wait to return on bus. Take City Train instead, better service and available every 15 minutes.
