A stand out trip on our cruise! - We visited Tom and his wife on their farm after booking port side when visiting on P&O’s Britannia. We didn’t book in advance, instead asked the kerbside rep what she would recommend and had available for our family (2 adults and 2 children aged 12 &2). The recommended this excursion and I am so glad they did. The minibus ride was short and lovely and cool, in a modern vehicle. We were guided by the most lovely Norwegian man, who’s name I so wish I could remember. Our guide had retired and you could see his passion and interest in Norway and the local area. He chatted on the ride about what we could see in the village and gave interesting facts and information. Once parked, we were led on a lovely scenic trek to the farm. The walk was beautiful and whist there was a little uneven terrain (I wouldn’t take a stroller or wheelchair), it was easily managed by our 2 year old. We reached the farm and we’re greeted by Thomas and his lovely wife who had baked fresh apple cake. The children were offered ice creams and water and the adults given hot drinks. Thomas showed us around the buildings and was again so wonderfully natured. He was so engaged and interested in the children, making everyone feel included. After refreshments, we went and fed the sheep and even got to hold some of the lambs. My son was particularly taken by the baby chickens and again got to hold them. We were there for maybe an hour, then very sadly we had to say our good byes and walk back to the minibus. Once aboard we were taken to visit the horse statues and the national monument. It was a thoroughly enjoyable trip and I cannot fault the service of our guide, Thomas and his wife and even the lady we booked with. It was the highlight of our cruise and I hope Tom gets to see this review!

A great local excursion - A bit of a hike and unsuitable for the frail or those with pushchairs. We were on a cruise and booked port side with a local provider. Superb 24 seater modern coach and excellent guides

Fabulous memories - Perfect tour Tom and his team made it so special for my toddler. The cake was amazing and I cuddled a lamb. I would not advise for anyone who struggles with walking, or prams it’s quite a challenging walk to the farm. Saying that if I’d known that I would have missed out on this fabulous experience. It really made our holiday special.

Excellent trip and great value for money - Booked this trip the day before as we were on a P&O cruise and we were looking for things to do in Haugesund. We had done trips in other ports via P&O but wanted to do one that was different and not over priced. From start to finish this was a great tour and I would highly recommend it too. The pick up is directly off the ship and they made sure we had plenty of time before the set sail again. The 3hr tour was great and the added homemade apple pie at the farm was great along with being able to cuddle the new born lambs. If you are wanting to do something different then book this one.

Amazing experience at kringsjå - This day trip was amazing, the tour guide was ensuring the group got the best experience. He took us to kringsja which was one of the best parts of my whole trip to Norway. Tom was a perfect host for us, he was so charismatic and taught us about the history of Kringsja and how he keeps it remaining as a safe and welcoming place to people. We also got to meet the animals and hold a few lambs! Not to forget Tom's wife had baked apple pie and it was incredible !!! Thank you! If you are going on a P&o cruise and unsure what to do for haugesund Dock this is perfect. We booked it as we got off the ship that morning.

Lovely trip good price - We visited this summer. This trip is very interesting and definitely worth the money. Both the small bus ride and the tour are very friendly. The manager couple (the shepherd and his wife) are very nice too. They offered us lovely food and drinks in interesting wooden houses. There are lots of sheep and chickens. We have a small child with us, he enjoyed it so much! I would recommend this tour for sure.

Lovely tour at a fair price. Great guides. - A lovely, quirky tour with beautiful scenery and nice refreshments with a little talk of the taxidermy in the cosy cabin. Great tour guide with his lovely wife and their sheepdog from Wales. Very caring and offered to help an elderly couple who found the easy walk challenging. Genuinely friendly and passionate guides at a fair price. Highly recommended!

Worth it!! - The ease and organization of this excursion was top notch. Excellent tour guide and bus driver.. friendly and professional. We were in a 16 passenger Mercedes van- very nice! The hike to the sheep farm at Kringsja was so scenic - just gorgeous. Got lots of awesome pics! The shepherd and his wife were so welcoming and gave tons of historical info regarding Kringsja and the area.. and Lizzie the sheepdog! She stole our hearts. I would highly recommend this excursion

Lovely trip - Thanks Tom and Ulrun (I apologise if I have got your name wrong!) for an enjoyable visit with the added pleasure of amazing apple cake. The little boy on our trip had so much fun and we did too. Worth booking when you get off P&O Iona! Be aware though that there is a 10min trek to the farm and it is a little steep on the way back
