Additional Information

Embark on a unique journey in the Canary Islands, where you can explore a fabled boat hailing directly from Hawaii and Polynesia: the Hawaiian Canoe. We provide guidance to steer and sail in our team-friendly, 5-passenger canoe. The workload is divided and the fear of the sea dissipates. Our canoe lets everyone, aged 7 to 77, experience the open ocean.

Our adventure plunges you into the Hawaiian ethos and the indigenous Canarian culture. The peaceful lagoons with their crystal-clear waters, the fishing hamlet, and the sightseeing of Lobos island will captivate you. It is one of the most untouched places in the Canaries, devoid of electricity, water, roads, vehicles, shops… A true step back into olden Fuerteventura. We will pause at Lobos and savour a snack, quench our thirst and gear up for snorkelling.

It’s a genuine local experience tinged with a unique Hawaiian flavour, all underpinned by a respect for the environment and its people: the ALOHA essence.

Waterman Dream - Phillipe has a great knowledge of ski and OC paddling but also an immense appreciation for the island, its fauna and its history which he is only too willing to share with you. Phillipe is a gent and true waterman, he treasures the "mana" of the past and celebrates its future with everyone he Paddles with. Highly recommended 🤙

Fun for Mum and Son - Phillipe was very patient with both my nervous unbalanced self and my 9 year old. He let me try 3 different types of kayak until I found one I felt stable in. Kayaking with wind and waves was very different from the lake version we had done before, but we always felt safe. Would recommend.

Outstanding experience! - Such a great experience! First of all, Phillipe gladly agreed to a tour out with me, even though I was flying solo, which is so appreciated (I often have a hard time finding tours that will take fewer than two people and I usually travel alone). His instructions on where to meet were very thorough, which is always nice. As far as the trip, it was an absolute pleasure to spend time with Phillipe. He is full of knowledge about the area and easy to chat with. He provides excellent instruction on the hows and whys of paddling. And, I felt very comfortable and safe at all times. He provides a wetsuit, life jacket, snorkel, water, lunch, and plenty of local information and details. We had a great trip out to the island, and he took me on a walking tour around and I quickly became convinced that a trip to Fuerteventura is incomplete without a trip to Los Lobos. During our time on the island, the weather began to change, and Phillipe discussed our options with me. We ended up leaving the canoe on the island and hopping another boat back, which is a pretty rare occurrence, FYI. I credit Phillipe for being so safety conscious and tied into the local community that we had more than one Plan B. I didn’t share with Phillipe that I had originally hoped to do a SUP tour, but in the end, I feel lucky that I ended up on this incredible adventure.

Our Best day out on the island. - We had an amazing day kayaking across to the island. We considered taking a boat trip, but thought this would be more memorable and I'm so glad we did - it was fantastic and you really feel like you've achieved something for the day. Lunch was tasty and you always felt like Philippe knew exactly what was going on with everyone in the group. If you're looking for something to do for the day - I highly recommend this.

Phillipe is The Surfski Warrior! The best instructor I've ever come across. - The best thing to do in the Canaries...I think I may stay here, just to keep doing this! I had a couple of surfski lessons with Maeva Kayak. The instructor/owner, Phillipe, is a Surfski Warrior! Amazing tutor. I was surfing waves on the first time out with him. He gave me so much more confidence on the water & surfski after just a couple of hours. He's obviously very experienced and knowledgeable and makes sure he passes as much of this on to you as he can. He's very clear and direct with instructions to make sure you know how to be safe on the water and how to be an effective paddler, so that you can improve your skills and have the most fun on the water. It's really nice that he takes pictures of you and sends them to you, so you have memories and don't have to worry about taking your own phone / camera. :-) He also does tours to Lobos Island (you don't need any experience), where you can go snorkelling and have a picnic. I will definitely be doing this before I leave Corralejo. Highly recommend to everyone.
