Highlights

After a short safety briefing, you’ll hop aboard your own Polaris Ranger, outfitted with seat belts, a windshield and cover. It’s similar to a small open-air Jeep but sports the exciting flair of an ATV. Then, head out into the wilds of Alaska with your professional guide.

Navigate the back country trails, searching for hidden secrets, granite rocks, and additional clues that bring you closer and closer to finding your treasure: a rustic pavilion in the woods where a camp-style meal awaits.

Traverse old mining paths that spill out onto the Dry Creek River Bed, stop on a whim to take in the surrounding scenery, or walk along the tundra and travel up the side of Black Diamond Peak for spectacular views of the Healy Valley — all the while working together to strategize and plan your next moves.

Highlight of our time in Alaska! - Our ATV adventure was the highlight of our teens Alaska trip. They are thrill seekers and loved the experience! The adults enjoyed the views and learning about the area. Our guides Evan and Jonathan were fantastic! We tasted wild blueberries, spotted moose close to our ATV, and collected cool rocks to bring home.

Misrepresented tour description. - "Embark on a treasure hunt through the Alaskan wilderness during this 3-hour ATV tour from Healy. Go off-road searching for hidden views, secret sights, quartz and granite rocks and coal with your adventure guide. End up at a backcountry pavilion for a hearty camp-style meal, over which you can rehash your treasure hunt victories and examine the spoils. This family-friendly adventure includes all safety gear; round-trip transportation from Healy hotels" What I experienced was the following: I am a rock hound and the description led me to believe that this would be a rock hunting treasure tour. On getting into the ATV, my son and I had to be squeezed into the third row with some other person so that it was most uncomfortable. As soon as the tour started, our guide noted that the tour was "geared for 6-12 year olds, and that the treasures were placed boxes along the way with clues. There were no sights worth seeing on this tour, just an ATV climbing large rocks. We also encountered about 50 other ATV's on the tour so forget about it being an "outback" adventure. Our vehicle broke down in the middle of the trip, so we had to wait for maintenance to come to get us on another vehicle. My son and I had eagerly looked forward to this trip ...and it was a zero in satisfaction. We decided to end the tour midway when the maintenance vehicle came.
