Wonderful journey - We made a wonderful trip with a Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor. The boat was very comfortable, the staff super friendly and the food delicious. The temples in Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor were beautiful. A few days of rest in Hurghada was very nice. Very nice and tasty New Year's Eve gala dinner. Everything was very well arranged. We always had very comfortable private vans, the driver was ready on time and there was very clear and fast communication with Wael and the guides and drivers. In Luxor we had a very nice guide Saïd who also had a lot of knowledge. In short, beautiful trip and highly recommended.

the must see in 10 days - We spent a wonderful 10 days with our family in Egypt. The whole trip was organised by Marsa Alam Tours/Egypt Tour Package company. As we later found out, the two names are the same company. As soon as I wrote to them, Wael Ewada logged in via Whatsapp and we were able to discuss all the important details. Taking into account our individual requests, they finally gave us a financially acceptable offer. I transferred the full amount to an Egyptian bank account and everything was settled.
In Cairo, we were met at the airport at the appointed time and from then on we were met at each stop by a driver and a tour guide, and transported to each stop in an immaculate Toyota minibus.
The guide for the first 3 days was Adam, who is also an Egyptologist. He was well educated, speaks good English and showed us all the important things to do in Giza, Saqqara and Dahshur. I would definitely recommend the Dahsur bent pyramid to see, as it is much less visited than Giza and we were lucky enough to have the lights go out in the pyramid so we could explore it all by ourselves with just a flashlight!
The Pyramids Park Resort Hotel was perfectly acceptable for us, although the pool water is ice cold everywhere in Egypt.
Afterwards we flew over to Aswan for a 3-day cruise of the Nile, but first we got up at 4am to see Abu Simbel, a breathtaking experience.
The children enjoyed the nile cruise the most, the food and the atmosphere were impeccable and lovely. The wifi on the boat Iberotel Crown Emperor is obviously slow, it was no different here, if there was any internet at all, although we didn't miss it. On the way we stopped in Kom-Ombo and Edfu, both beautiful, just not enough time to see the temples properly as you have to hurry back to the ship for dinner or departure. All the way to Aswan, Abu-Simbel, Kom Ombo, Yousef was the tour guide and I had a very interesting conversation with him about other things besides culture.
Tamar was with us all the time in Edfu. There we got off the boat and took a horse carriage to the church, which the children particularly enjoyed.
On arrival in Luxor, Karam was the tour guide with whom we visited Karnak and the Valley of the Kings. Karam even arranged for one of his friends to bring us the passports we had forgotten on the boat during the temple visit, so we didn't waste any time, which I appreciated.
We were then transferred by bus to the Hotel Sunny Days Palma de Mirette in Hurghada, full of Russian speakers, where we spent another two super days, one of which included a day of boat diving and dolphin swimming.
On the last day we flew back from Hurghada to Cairo and spent a fantastic day with Maivel Gamil in the Coptic quarter and the Citadel, and had one of the best lunches together.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit the New Egyptian Museum that opened a few days ago, but we don't expect this to be our last visit to Egypt.

Great trip in Egypt - thank you Marsa Alam - We were a bit doubtful at the beginning but Marsa Alam is truly amazing! Customer service is very flexible to customize the trip for us, the tour guides are friendly and knowledgeable, drivers are also very professional! (Not all drivers in Egypt can drive properly so having a professional one is really important)
One tip for people considering going, the “five star hotel” is Egypt standard is usually equivalent to the three/four star standard in other places so if you want a relatively comfortable stay you should choose the five star ones instead of the four star ones.
Another minor thing I would comment is that despite our tour guides in Cairo and Aswan were both great, the guide in Luxor is a bit disappointing. He didn’t provide much info on important attractions, and he continuously tried to sell us extra stuff not included in the trip when we knew the stuff he recommended was not worth going at all. I would suggest Marsa Alam not to hire this guide anymore.

Trip of a life time with Marsa Alam!! - We, group of 3 girls, used Marsa Alam for a two week trip through Egypt. Wael was amazing in helping us plan the perfect trip. Very responsive and accommodating. First part of the trip we stayed at the new Hyatt and had Lazam as our egyptologist/guide. We felt very safe with him touring us around. Lazam was super humble and knowledgeable. Asked us what we wanted to do and always had our best interest in mind. Second leg of the trip we had Aswany as our Egyptologist/guide. He has amazing background and knew the best way to get us great experiences. Never made us stand out in the blistering sun like other tours we saw. We very much appreciate getting the background given to us in the car to the site so we could bypass most tours and have the grounds less crowded. We never felt like we were just being shuttled from one site to another. Most of the time we felt like we had sites to ourselves with how our guides navigates us. We felt very safe with Lazam and Aswany guiding us through all the site
We added the white desert overnight tour which was an incredible experience. (intimidating if you are alone bc it is just you and you guide. Not a large camp situation) Ahmed and his brother showed us the best sites and made our experience feel unique. The River Nile cruise was stationary at a port most of the time but we understand the benefit of it while trying to see the most sites. We did the hot air balloon excursion which we recommend! It was amazing to see the organization that goes into it. We booked the Neubian village excursion-not sure if it’s cause we got there later in the day but we expected to walk around and see more. Not sure I would recommend this one based off the price. We booked a trip to Hurghada with Marsa Alam too. The resort they placed us was gorgeous. Different than what an American would be used to at an all inclusive but they still had plenty of activities. The buffet food was catered towards Europeans, not really local food. Wael also took care of getting us on a snorkel and scuba tour last minute which were amazing to see the sea. All the leaders on the boats were professional and good time. We felt we always had constant communication. If any questions came up Wael explained everything and made sure we were ok. We had last minute changes and Wael always handled us with grace. Egypt was a trip of a life time and we owe that to Marsa Alam! Highly recommend Marsa Alam for your travels! Shukran to the whole team!

Amazing 10 day Egypt Tour from Hurghada to Cairo, Aswan, Luxor and back - We had an amazing ten days being guided by private guides through the most important modern and ancient sites. Everything was perfectly organized by Wael Ewada from Marsa Alam Tours, who was available for us 24/7 by WhatsApp for all our questions and wishes.
We flew from Hurghada to Cairo and spent 4 days there visiting the pyramids, museums, old and new parts of Cairo. Then we flew to Aswan, visiting the dam and the Philae temple. The the cruis to Luxor, where we spent another 4 days visiting the ancient sites. The back to Hurghada for snorkeling and relaxing.
The only rather average point was the 3 day Nile river cruise from Aswan to Luxor on one of those big river boats. There is constant noise from the engine or the generator, and the bad smell of Diesel oil and its exhaust. The visits to the sites are either early in the mornig or late evening.
We later talked to another couple who chose to do the Nile river cruise on a dahabya boat. They highly recommended that.
We paid a 40% deposit and then the rest upon arrival in Cairo. I was rather worried about paying up front, but Wael Ewada reassured me and he made sure that everything we agreed upon was fulfilled.
I guess the price we paid was fair for what we got. We were very satisfied by all the guides and drivers he organized for us. It is important to generously tip the guides and drivers to show your appreciation, since they very much depend on it. For a couple between 20 to 30 USD per day for your private guide and between 10 to 15 USD for your private driver.

A really scandal - The program was not followed and on addition each day it was changing again and we learned about it around 10 pm. When we went to the white desert, as the scheduled day had changed, the agency forgot to book a hotel and had to come back to Cairo (more than 4 hours on the road) because our guide did not find a hotel room ! We arrived at 10 pm and the day after we were living at 6 am !!!
We took a private tour with French guides and over 10 days of travel, we had 2 good guides, the other ones had just a few notions of French without having at all knowledge of Egyptian history.
It really was a 100 percent wasted vacation
