Egyptian Museum - Next, visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses many fascinating artifacts. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cairo.

Tour to Alexandria

Pompey’s Pillar - A Sun Pyramids Tours representative will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo for an amazing day trip to Alexandria. Your first stop will be Pompey’s Pillar, constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the Temple of Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure rivaling the Soma and the Caesarean.

Note: The Alexandria Library is closed on Fridays, so you can visit the Roman Theater instead.

Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - Next, visit the Catacombs, the largest Roman cemetery consisting of three levels cut into the rock. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Alexandria.

Fort Qaitbey - Continue to the Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, and then visit the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Finally, return to your hotel in Cairo.
