What a wonderful tour - The organisation of Ahmed is over the top. He satisfied every request from our side. Further we were lucky because we had the best guides for an amazing tour in Egypt: Adam explained every detail for the Cairo (Pyramids, Sphinx and the Cairo Museum) and for Alexandria; Samir, an excellent guide for Aswan and the Abu Simbel temple (thanks for the useful map and the amazing photos that you have taken for us); Hamed, an exceptional guide for Luxor Temple, Karnak and the Valley of the Kings---very clear explanations and very well organised; Lazem, an exemplar guide for the old Cairo---he explained us each detail for the churches, mosques and other monuments. Last but not least, the drivers: I would like to thank Mohammed (the desert fox) and Ahmad for the long and fast journeys:-). What else? Thanks a lot Ahmed. We really recommend this tour with this amazing team! All the best! PS: don't miss the balloon activity---you will not regret it!

7 Day Itinerary including Cairo, Aswan & Luxor - I wanted to pass on the great experience I had with Marsa Alam Tours. I went to Egypt between May 24-31 with my friend. As two American women traveling, the guides made us feel very safe and secure. We were picked up from each airport by a guide and escorted to the hotel where the guides did not leave until they made sure we were checked in. They discussed the plans for the following day giving us the opportunity to add on anything special we wanted to see that wasn't a part of the itinerary. In addition to their warm hospitality, their knowledge in Egyptian history was quite remarkable. We loved learning about the sites while we were there. The guides always made sure were were adequately hydrated and if we needed restroom breaks. As a pescatarian they always made sure I had lunch with non meat options. Egypt is a magical country that would have been quite impossible to travel and explore without the help of Mars Alam tours. I would not only recommend them without a doubt, I plan on returning hopefully in the near future. Just a few tidbits of advice: 1- Take a lot of smaller dollar bills or get change for small pounds to tip. It is culturally expected to tip attendants outside of bathrooms. 2- IT IS HOT. IT IS HOT. IT IS HOT. Take sunscreen and hats and don't complain about it being hot. 3- It is not expected to tip the guides and drivers but trust me, after meeting them and getting to know them, you will want to. Budget this into your expenses.
