Cairo International Airport - Based on your arrival details, your tour guide will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall, holding a sign with your name. They will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Cairo, assist with check-in, and arrange the tour details, including the pick-up time from your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax at the hotel or explore the streets of Cairo. Note: Check-in is after 1:00 pm. If you arrive early, you can wait in the lobby.
Visit Memphis, Saqqara, Step Pyramid, Pyramids of Giza, and Sphinx
Memphis and Saqqara - At 8:00 am, after breakfast, your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to take you to Memphis, the oldest capital in history. You will have a one-hour guided tour of the open-air museum of Memphis, founded by King Menes and the capital of Old Egypt during the Old Kingdom. It was a center of rule and culture for over 3000 years. Here, you can see the Statue of Ramses II. Next, you will visit the Saqqara Necropolis, including the Step Pyramid complex, the main entrance of the necropolis, and the Pyramid of King Teti. Then, you will have lunch at a local restaurant.
Pyramids of Giza - After lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit the Papyrus Institute for 30 minutes to learn about the first paper in history. Then, you will head to the Pyramids of Giza. You will have a three-hour guided tour with three stops: the Great Pyramid, a panoramic view of the three pyramids, and the valley with the temple and Sphinx. Afterward, you will visit the Oils Salon and then return to your hotel.
Alexandria Day Tour and Travel to Aswan
Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - At 7:00 am, you will check out and be picked up to visit Alexandria. Afterward, you will return to Giza train station to take a sleeper train to Aswan. In Alexandria, you will visit the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, which feature a mix of Greek, Roman, and ancient Egyptian art. The catacombs consist of three floors, and you will see the main tomb with its carved statues and symbols.
Qaitbay Citadel - After the 11th-century earthquake, the Lighthouse of Alexandria was destroyed, and Sultan Qaitbay built the Qaitbay Citadel in its place to protect northern Egypt. During your tour of the citadel, your guide will tell you about the military monuments and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. You will have lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Giza train station to catch your train to Aswan, which departs at 8:15 pm and arrives at 10:00 am.
Aswan Visit and Boarding
Philae Temple - Upon arrival at Aswan train station, meet your local tour representative to start your tour. Visit the High Dam and Philae Temple, then check in and stay overnight in Aswan. There is an optional early morning visit to Abu Simbel Temple. Enjoy lunch on board, afternoon tea, dinner, and an evening disco party. Note: Entrance fees are excluded.
Sailing to Kom Ombo Temple
Temple of Kom Ombo - Sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Kom Ombo Temple, dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek and the falcon-god Haroeris. Located on a bend in the Nile, it is said that sacred crocodiles once basked on the banks. Sail to Edfu, the site of the Ptolemaic Temple of Horus. After lunch, visit the temple and ancient settlement, known in Roman times as Apollinòpolis. Cross the lock and sail to Luxor, enjoying dinner and an overnight stay on board.
Visiting Luxor
Valley of the Kings - After breakfast on board, cross the Nile to the West Bank to tour the Necropolis of Thebes, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon. Luxor is often called the world’s greatest open-air museum, with an unparalleled number of preserved monuments. On the West Bank, explore the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens, primarily used for the burials of Pharaohs. Admire the massive stone statues of the Colossi of Memnon and the mortuary temples of the Temple of Hatshepsut. Return to your boat for dinner and an overnight stay on board.
Check Out, Visit Karnak Temple, and Fly Back to Cairo
Temple of Karnak - Visit the East Bank of Luxor to see Karnak Temple, the second most visited site in Egypt after the Pyramids of Giza. Then, transfer to Luxor Airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel for your last night.
