The Giza Pyramid Complex includes three main pyramids, each dedicated to a different Pharaoh with a unique history, six smaller pyramids, the magnificent Sphinx, and the Valley Temple.
Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - The Great Pyramid of Giza (Khufu) is a true marvel, earning its title as a “Wonder” with an estimated 2.3 million stone blocks and a mass of approximately 5.9 million tonnes.
Great Sphinx - This limestone statue features the body of a lion and the head of a human, representing a mythical creature.
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant in Cairo, your tour continues to the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square. This museum houses incredible antiquities and artifacts, including the golden treasures of King Tutankhamun. Your guide will lead you through the chambers, highlighting the museum’s main attractions. Experience Luxor Attractions
Valley of the Kings - After breakfast at the hotel, continue your unforgettable 4-day Cairo and Luxor tour with a private tour of Luxor’s attractions, known as the world’s greatest open-air museum. Your private tour guide will take you to the Valley of the Kings, located on the west bank of the river, which contains 63 tombs and chambers and served as the main burial site for members of the New Kingdom.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also known as El Deir El Bahari, built by Queen Hatshepsut, the daughter of Thutmose I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately 1490-1469 B.C.). She was the only female pharaoh to reign over ancient Egypt. The temple is not only a memorial to Queen Hatshepsut but also one of Egypt’s greatest architectural achievements. Designed by Senenmut, Hatshepsut’s steward and architect, the temple resembles classical Greek architecture from 1,000 years later. Located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Luxor (ancient Thebes), Hatshepsut’s temple is part of the Theban Necropolis and marks the entrance to the Valley of the Kings. The main building of the temple is called Djeser-Djeseru (Holy of Holies).
Colossi of Memnon - These two massive stone statues depict Pharaoh Amenhotep in a seated position and are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone.
Temple of Karnak - The Karnak Temple is the greatest example of worship in history, dedicated to the god Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak, is a vast collection of temples, pylons, chapels, and other buildings near Luxor, Egypt. Construction began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and continued into the Ptolemaic Kingdom, with most existing structures dating from the New Kingdom. The area around Karnak was the ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut, the main place of worship for the 18th Dynastic Theban Triad, with Amun as its head. It is part of the monumental city of Thebes and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979 along with the rest of the city. Karnak is named after the nearby modern village of El-Karnak, located 2.5 kilometers north of Luxor.
Finally, you will be transferred to Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo for the night.
