Great Sphinx - This limestone statue represents a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human.

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - After enjoying lunch at a local Cairo restaurant, visit the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square, home to incredible antiquities and artifacts, including the golden treasures of King Tutankhamun. Your guide will lead you through the chambers, highlighting the museum’s main attractions. You will then be taken to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also known as El Dir El Bahari, built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately 1490-1469 B.C.). She was the only female pharaoh to reign over ancient Egypt. The Temple of Hatshepsut is not only a memorial to the queen but also a remarkable architectural achievement. Designed by Senenmut, Hatshepsut’s steward and architect, this mortuary temple resembles classical Greek architecture from 1,000 years later. Located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Luxor (ancient Thebes), Hatshepsut’s temple is part of the Theban Necropolis. Built into a semi-circle of cliffs, this memorial temple marks the entrance to the Valley of the Kings. Djeser Djeseru (holy of holies) is the name of the main building of Hatshepsut’s temple.

Colossi of Memnon - These are two enormous stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep, depicted in a seated position, crafted from blocks of quartzite sandstone.

Temple of Karnak - The Karnak Temple is a magnificent example of worship, dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak, is a vast collection of temples, pylons, chapels, and other structures near Luxor, Egypt. Construction began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and continued into the Ptolemaic Kingdom, with most existing buildings dating from the New Kingdom. The area around Karnak was the ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut, the main worship site of the 18th Dynastic Theban Triad, with the god Amun as its head. It is part of the monumental city of Thebes and was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979, along with the rest of the city. Karnak is named after the nearby modern village of El-Karnak, located 2.5 kilometers north of Luxor.

Finally, you will be transferred to Luxor Airport to catch your flight back to Cairo for an overnight stay.
