Cairo – Giza Pyramids – Saqqara
Giza - After breakfast, you’ll be picked up for your official introduction to Cairo. Your first day will be steeped in ancient history, starting at the Giza Plateau where you’ll be awestruck by the Great Sphinx. You’ll visit the pyramids of Menkaure, Cheops, and Chefren, dating back to approximately 2580-2560 BC. Next, you’ll head to the Saqqara Plateau, another UNESCO heritage site, featuring the impressive step pyramid of Djoser, the first successful attempt at a fully functional pyramid.
Alexandria – Amphitheater – Pompey’s Pillar – Qaitbay Citadel
City Centre Alexandria - After breakfast, you’ll drive to Alexandria, the capital of Egypt under the Ptolemaic rulers. The tour begins with a visit to the grounds of the ancient Bibliotheca Alexandrina, followed by lunch at a good local restaurant. Next, you’ll visit the Roman Amphitheater, which features 13 rows of white European marble seating and granite columns from Aswan. The city tour continues with a stop at Pompey’s Pillar, a massive Corinthian column built to support a statue of Emperor Diocletian. Before returning to Cairo, you’ll tour the Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15th-century fortification in the harbor of Pharos Island. You’ll then be driven back to Cairo.
Museum of Egyptian Antiquities – Citadel – Khan el Khalili
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - After breakfast, you’ll start the day with a Cairo City Tour, beginning at the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, which houses artifacts from tombs, temples, and palaces throughout Egypt’s ancient dynasties. You’ll have a guided tour with ample time to explore on your own. After lunch at an authentic restaurant, you’ll continue to Islamic Cairo, dominated by the Saladin Citadel, an 800-year-old fortress and residence where you’ll visit the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. The day concludes with a shopping opportunity at the famous Khan el Khalili Bazaar, a sensory feast of colors, sounds, and the aromas of bakhoor and spices, along with Egyptian hospitality.
Transfer to the Nile Cruise & Aswan Tours
Aswan - A licensed tour guide will meet and assist you at the Aswan railway station or hotel, and you’ll be transferred by A/C van to your 5-star Nile Cruise for check-in before lunch. After lunch on board, you’ll start your tour by visiting the High Dam, completed in 1960 to protect Egypt from flooding and generate electricity. You’ll then visit the Graeco-Roman Temple dedicated to the goddess Isis, accessible by a small motorboat. Later, you’ll return to the cruise for dinner, a folkloric show, and an overnight stay.
Abu Simbel Temple & Navigation to Kom Ombo Temple
Abu Simbel Temple Complex - Around 4:30 am, your guide will pick you up for a trip to Abu Simbel. You’ll arrive around 8 am to visit the rock-cut temples of Abu Simbel, known for their unique design and built for King Ramses II and his beloved Queen Nefertari. You’ll return to the cruise by noon for lunch and then sail to Kom Ombo city. Upon arrival, you’ll visit the dual temple of Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. Afterward, you’ll return to the cruise for dinner and continue sailing to Edfu for an overnight stay.
Edfu Temple & Arrive Luxor (visit Luxor Temple)
Edfu - After breakfast, you’ll enjoy a horse carriage ride with your tour guide to visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, considered the most complete and best-preserved of all Egyptian temples. You’ll return to the cruise to relax on deck, taking in the unique landscape and beautiful scenery of the Nile River as you sail to Luxor. After crossing the Esna Lock, you’ll have lunch on board and afternoon tea on the sundeck. Late in the afternoon, you’ll arrive at your cruise dock and be transferred to visit Luxor Temple on the East Bank of Luxor, where ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features are displayed. You’ll have dinner on board with a belly dancing show and overnight in Luxor. Note: If you arrive at the Luxor dock by 3:00 or 3:30 pm, you’ll have the chance to visit both Karnak and Luxor Temples.
Balloon Ride, Luxor Tour & departure transfer
Valley of the Kings - Your day begins around 5:00 am with a pick-up for an incredible 30 to 45-minute hot air balloon flight over the West Bank of Luxor.
After breakfast, you’ll start your unforgettable day by driving to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs of the New Kingdom carved their tombs into the mountains to hide their treasures and protect their mummies. Next, you’ll visit the Mortuary Temple of the famous Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari, discovering her beautiful temple and intriguing story with her nephew. You’ll end your West Bank tour with a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon. After lunch at a local restaurant (optional), you’ll return to the East Bank to see the largest temple ever built, Karnak Temple, which took 2,000 years to complete and covers an area of about 63 acres. You’ll have the opportunity to take photos among its huge pillars and obelisks. Finally, you’ll be transferred to Luxor Airport for your flight to Cairo and an overnight stay in a Cairo hotel.

Cairo - After an early breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Cairo International Airport around 5:30 am for your flight back home.
