We land on the north-eastern side of Nosy Komba ends at the Black Lemur Sanctuary, at the edge of Ampangorina village. We will walkway to the village to see and buy artwork by local artists. Ebony, rosewood, mangrove sculptures, folk art tablecloths, clothes, paintings… then we will walk through the park. As we approach the Lemur Sanctuary, we will encounter more and more amusing lemurs, in the company of numerous chameleons, geckos, giant tortoises, snakes and many more and also admire the wildlife. In winter time the Lemurs are extremely friendly but never aggressive. They jump on us gently and eat bananas out of our hands, but they never steal or bite.

Nosy Tanikely - After visiting Nosy komba, we head off to Nosy Tanikely, where we snorkel in the natural aquarium of the marine reserve, sunbathing, and an authentic Malagasy lunch at the white sandy coast of Tenikely. During the day we take an easy walk in the jungle on a path to visit the lighthouse which was built in 1805 and gives an amazing view to the surrounding archipelago and to the mainland Madagascar. You will meet chameleons, lemurs, megabats, lizards, and plenty of other interesting inhabitants. On the coral reef which is part of the best 10 snorkel places worldwide, we offer snorkeling. You will meet giant turtles, stingrays, giant clams, a wide variety of beautifully shaped corals, and the colorful tropical fish that live among them. You’ll never forget Tanikely’s fabulous coral reefs.
