After appreciating Seljalandsfoss, a short hike leads to its neighbor, Gljúfrarbúi (The one who lives in the mountain), to admire its beauty. As the name suggests, this waterfall is hidden within the mountain but is easy to locate once the path is known.
- Vik - Next, the journey continues to the village of Vík í Mýrdal, a stunning small village and likely one of the most photographed places in Iceland. The iconic church is featured in many photo advertisements, and the view from the church is simply breathtaking. A lunch break is taken here before resuming the journey.
- Reynisfjara Beach - The black sand beach of Reynisfjara is one of Iceland’s major attractions, featuring the iconic Reynisdrangar cliffs rising from the sea. Caution is advised, as the tides can be unpredictable.
- Solheimajokull Glacier - A walk on the wild side leads to the glaciers, where visitors can gently place their feet at the edge. Capture a selfie and, voilà, claim to have stepped onto a glacier.
- Skógafoss - The magnificent Skógafoss waterfall stands 60 meters high. It’s easy to spend hours gazing at it, but 30 minutes will be spent here.
