Must Do trip!! - The day was amazing start to finish. Kalman was a great guide getting us to all the locations and missing the crowds. The ability to have our own personal guide in the super cool jeep was invaluable. The sights were breathtaking and being at the Katla glacier felt like we were on another planet. One of my top ten things I've ever done! It was so beautiful and surreal seeing the blue green ice on the lava and snow. Definitely a MUST DO if you are in Iceland!

Ice cave adventure - Einar took is on a private tour of the Katla Ice Cave. He was very knowledgeable and took the initiative to show us much much more of the entire area. We’ve gone on a lot of adventures and he was one of the best guides we’ve ever had.

Unique ice cave - Very interesting tour to the ice cave. I wasn't expecting a large cave (more like a tunnel) since it was nearing summer. Short hike to the cave with some steep up/downhill. Not strenuous but just have to be careful because you're hiking on gravel. We also stopped at some of the highlights of the south coast- big waterfalls, caves and black sand beach. Our guide was hard to understand at times but provided good information on the area. Long day for a cruise stop but very enjoyable.

AMAZING - Peter picked us up with a rather old “lady” (Ford Excursion). We were warned that she was a bit noisy and worn but still pretty. He was right. We had an amazing tour with really nice spots that is a must if you visit Iceland. We left Reykjavík where the sky was blue, but the weather changed when we came to Vik. It was really pouring down and we got soaked but we forgot all about it when we arrived the ice caves. A memory for life. Peter was smart on his route and we avoided the “big crowds”. Because this is a popular trip. A few tips and improvements for the Ford Excursion is: - Upgrade the speaker system for the guide (very hard to hear) - USB charger (11 hours of picture taking with phone drains it) the car had 2 but none working. Yes, it is noisy and bumpy. But come on folks. It’s an off-road truck. (Could go more off-road next time please :)) All in all an amazing trip and great guide

Unforgettable experience ! - This trip was AMAZING! We came during low season and had a group of 6 people in total. Having a small group allowed us the perfect amount of time to take pictures and experience the beautiful scenery at each location. Our tour guide ( His name is Ainar ) made sure we were the first group to get to most of our locations which was a plus. I would recommend booking the south coast tour that includes the ice cave because you also get the chance to walk on top of some glaciers. It is incredicle. We had many oppurtunities to stop for restrooms and grab some snacks. Overall, you can't beat this experince.

An essential trip - This was an amazing trip . The ice cave was absolutely stunning and like nothing I have seen before, but we did so much more - 2 waterfalls, and a black sand beach . The guide was really informative and friendly. We saw much bigger groups during our stops and our group of just 6 skilfully avoided them so that we virtually had the ice cave to ourselves . This is a must do trip

Vago31 - All the places we visited were excellent The waterfalls were beautiful, the black beach, the ice cave unforgettable, the views during the whole trip were amazing. Our guide and driver was good. The car :defender, was little uncomfortable . It was for 6 people but we are a family of 3 and the second row of the car was a really small for us for that long trip . Still a great tour

The best tour! - This tour was amazing, and so was the guide, Thomas. Honestly, this is the only way to do this tour, in a very small group. While driving us to each destination, Thomas explained throughly the sites we were seeing and answered all of our questions. He also told us a little about the history of Iceland. Once we got to the ice cave, he helped us put on all our gear and gave us a personal tour of the cave. Do not go in the big groups, this is worth the money! Probably the best thing we did the entire trip.

Disappointed - Saturday 11th of March. The above tour landscape was amazing Peter the Guide/drive was very good particular at the ice cave However the standard of transport was very disappointing for the following reasons Cabin very noisy could not hear most of Peter’s commentary. Seats wear not contoured therefore sliding on seats quite a bit. Three of the passengers did not have head rests just as well there were not any sharp breaking or emergency stops. Heating took the best part of two hours to remotely work. Back seat support for back poor Only one door for entrance and exit for the back two rows. Was the left hand rear door broken? Seat that moves forward for to let people out of the back row was sticking and jammed at times. Steps to get in and out unstable preferred not to use them. In short this vehicle was not of a standard that would be expected for such a tour. It made the journey very uncomfortable. Your vehicle fell far short of the wonderful landscape that we were taken to. Also informed by the driver at the end of the tour that other have complained about the noise I would hope that this vehicle would not be used again as I consider it to be unsafe. I am still waiting to hear for the company who has not answered my concerns, hence I have taken to leave the review.
