An incredibly beautiful piece of earth - Jeff and Alex, with their friendly manner, took us on a long walk to see the fascinating and incredibly beautiful nature of the archipelago. The group was pleasantly small (7 participants). We had time to take photos, ask questions and, while the two guides prepared a delicious lunch, to walk individually to the sea to listen to the surf. I would have liked to have spent a lot more time there and learned a lot more about nature. Nevertheless, this excursion is one of the highlights of my trip and I would like to thank Jeff and Alex from the bottom of my heart for this tour. The fact that we also saw a crane on the way back was a very special gift for me.

Wonderful! - It was lovely to go outside Helsinki and walk through some of the stunning Finnish scenery and breathe the pine scented air. Jeff and Alex were enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. The delicious fresh lunch at a lookout spot completed a perfect excursion. Thank you both, and also Kiia for the efficient organising. I will never forget this experience.

Walk Porkkalanniemi - Anyone who wants to take in some nature after side-seeing in Helsinki might also like this one. Our group of 5 guests was met on time by Jeff and Alex and taken by van via motorway and country road to the starting point of the walk. The walk took around 45 minutes and was peppered with information about flora and fauna. Once we arrived at the sea coast, we were able to explore the area a little in the sun and with little wind while the two prepared a fresh salmon soup. Then a bit of small talk while eating the soup, blueberry juice and cake and then, unfortunately, it was time to head back. Highly recommended.

Finnish archipelago adventure - Wonderful experience from booking initially with Kiia , and culminating with a great day in the care of Jeff. Jeff was knowledgeable and caring about the environment and he made a mean fish soup! The walk was gentle but interesting and the lunch point by the sea was perfect. Short but wonderful introduction to the Finnish countryside. Do yourself a favour and support these guys doing a great job!

A lovely day out from Helsinki - I chose this tour as I wanted to see a bit of the Finnish countryside during a short trip to Helsinki. The trip was really well organised. Great communication before the trip and really easy to find Jeff and his minibus on the day. The group of eight was a really nice number. Jeff was really engaging with his knowledge of fauna and flora. Not only did he accommodate my vegan dietary requirements, but the soup was really delicious and thank you for finding a vegan runebergintorttu!

Really interesting! - My daughter and I enjoyed a very special morning with Jeff exploring the archipelago. Jeff is kind, patient and so friendly, and he made our morning of hiking a lot of fun. We both learned a lot about the flora and fauna of the area and loved hiking around the unique area. Jeff made us a great lunch over a campfire, too! We would definitely recommend a tour with Jeff if you’re considering options for visiting the area!

Was worth it and I would like to come again - I enjoyed this tour a lot. It's an excellent destination choice, Porkkala is a beautiful place! It was very convenient to get picked up at and be brought back to Helsinki Central Station. The small group size (8) worked perfect for me and Jeff (the guide) created a friendly and easy-going atmosphere. It was also very informative, Jeff told a lot about local berries, mushrooms etc. I only wish there was a little bit more time to walk around Porkkala independently (an hour instead of half-hour?) During this visit to Helsinki I did not have time left to join the other tours with Taiga Times but that's definitely on my bucket list for the next time I visit Helsinki. Thank you very much , Jeff and Kiia, for the great experience!

Exciting little hike in the archipelago - Jeff is an excellent guide who will give you an expert and exciting introduction to Finnish nature in a beautiful national park: identifying mushrooms, collecting blueberries and lingonberries, having a picnic right on the archipelago coast - and the highlights were spotting a black woodpecker, two different species of snake and a deer...

A beautiful way to enjoy the Archipelago on an easy hike. - Jeff was an amazing guide. This is a 2 person travel company that does an amazing job. It was so nice to get out of the city and see this beautiful area. Very simple, easy hike with Jeff giving us info on the flora and fauna and answering any crazy questions we had. He prepared a delicious food using Finland’s finest ingredients. Taiga Times give you lots of bang for your buck and many beautiful options.
