Helsinki by foot and food - Despite the cold and rain, despite my poor clothes choice and despite being the only person on this tour, it was the best ever. A personal touch and rapport with tour guide Larisa (aka Lara) made my Helsinki tour the best Ive been on yet. Larisa was incredible at explaining history, architecture and all things food. From the impressive Lutheran Church down cobblestoned streets to protected apartments, through the waterside market and food market. Larisa knew the store holders personally and made perfect choices of Finnish delicacies for me to try. Note - no breakfast needed. Wandered up the esplanade to and incredible bakery for more to try and a warm cuppa. We passed through chocolate shops and department stores until parting ways with a warm hug at Stockmanns. Wow, Larisa, you made my stay in Helsinki! Thank you x

A Taste of Helsinke - Just back from City Tour with Food Tasting with Larisa & we had a wonderful time. The meeting place was easy to find, the city tour & information was interesting and the food tastings were just wonderful. We chose the Caviar & Wine option and it was very tasty & pleasant fun. We loved the food items Larisa chose for the tour and we were very pleased with the outing. Ms. Larisa is very sweet and super friendly and she even saved us from a pick pocketer. Loved the tour & the tour guide. Thanks so much for a great afternoon & dining recommendations !!

A perfect tour if you need a little history and love a good food market! - We had a great tour! Great information and was very enjoyable. 10/10 recommend. Suggest for adventurous eaters, or at least one in the group, but there was something for everyone. I hesitated on the roe but definitely enjoyed it! Would not have been able to experience all we did in the almost 3 hours doing this ourselves. We were completely full by the end too! No need to buy any lunch :)

Very informative! - I absolutely enjoyed this tour. Yes, I came in January and the roads were a bit slippery, but it was still worth it! For reference, I had very limited historic knowledge about Finland. This tour really helped to get a good understanding of the city and how it developed. I got so much information I wouldn't have gotten had I just walked around on my own. The food tasting was an added bonus. I probably wouldn't have tried many of the things on my own and I'm glad I got the opportunity here.

Taste of Helsinki - Lara was an excellent guide. The temperature outside was subzero (-6) F but we still had a great time and she had planned warm up stops along the way. The first half of the tour was local sightseeing of Cathedrals and buildings, a walk by the waterfront. The second part was the food tasting. Great local food items including caviar. iI you have a problem with seafood then this might not be the tour for you. If you have an open mind and a sense of adventure then you are in the right place. We had Kippered herring, reindeer sausage, even Bear sausage! Hot Chocolate, pasty/bread shop as well. Great way to see and taste Helsinki.

Interesting - I did the food and champagne tour. The other people that did the same tour only did the food part but got all the same things except for the One glass of champagne. It’s the most expensive glass I have ever had in my life. This was not worth the money. The tour guide was very pleasant and did her best to explain everything about the city area.
