Highly recommend this tour! - We had a great time! We loved the selections of cheese, seafood, pintxos, wine, and sweets. Our guide Martin, was passionate about Basque culture and generous with sharing insights about the region's history, origins, and food trends. We got special access into a parador to see its tapestry exhibits as well as a panoramic birds eye view of the Basque coastline. Highly recommend this tour! Looking forward to more experiences from Ikusnahi tours.

Excellent French Basque foodie tour - Outstanding tour. Our tour guide Mickel native to a Basque town near Hondarribia was authentic and very knowledgeable. We started in Saint Jean de Luz with the market and a beautiful tasting at a wine shop. If you love cheese, this is the stop for you. Beautiful town! And a stop at the bakery that created the macaron for Lois XIV wedding. No spoiler here but not what you might expect. Then on to Biarritz. Incredible market and pretty coastline. We ultimately finished at a beautiful txacoli winery for lunch. Highly recommend Mickel and this tour.

Food and history create an amazing experience - Martin was the best tour guide and someone who has both the education and life experience to tell the story of basque country. You can tell he is passionate about his heritage and his story telling made you want to listen.
The tour went all over the region with stops in small coastal towns we would never have visited if not for Martin and the tour. The tour centers on food but folds history into the conversation to give you the full understanding not only of how things work but why they work this way. Truly a delightful way to spend a day and got us out of San Sebastian to experience more of basque country.
The tour is a bit pricey but honestly I would do it again in a heartbeat because it was private and personalized for me and my wife . This was my favorite activity so far in our week in basque country.

A Taste of Basque Country - Markel was a phenomenal guide! We had a blast and highly recommend to anyone wanting to see the best of Basque Country in a short period. My only recommendation would be walking around Biarritz a little more, as this was great in Hondaribbia and St Jean de Luz.

Book this tour! - If you only get to do one thing with your time in San Sebastián then book this tour! At first you will think it to be a bit pricey. Book it anyway, This is a private tour with a highly experienced and knowledgeable guide. It is actually four tours in one. It is a historical travel tour, a food tour, a wine tour and a walking tour! It is a whole day, about 8 hours. You will feel that it was the best thing you did on vacation and worth every minute and every dollar, euro, etc. I
I was concerned at first that it would feel weird with just the two of us and a guide but Ania was just the perfect person for the job with easy-going conversation, a wealth of knowledge about everything we were experiencing and a great teacher! At the end you will feel like you had more than a tour but an unexpected relationship with someone you just met and sad to leave.
The itinerary, the food, the scenery, the towns, the travel were all amazing. If you had to plan this day yourself you would spend hours in research, far more money and want to shoot yourself trying to find parking. It's all done for you. Book it.
You will stand where King Louis XIV was married (for the first time) in Saint Jean De Luz, enjoy the original macaron in Biarritz along with the amazing Gillardeau oysters in an incredible fresh market, a beautiful remote winery in the mountains of Spain with the best pintos you'll find and a wonderful walk in Hondarrbia all along with important historical notes about each place. There is soooo much more to all of this than I can explain but just book it. It'll be a 5 star day for all of you. A big ESKERRIK ASKO Ania!
