A wonderful activity - An amazing place. Great tour of small villages with an amazing driver and host. The beach itself is very clean, water is super blue. Wear sun protection!! The sun here is no joke!

Elafonissi Beach - Brilliant trip, the team were excellent in keeping us safe and informed. Beach was stunning, however be prepared fir a walk on a poor road, once there soft sand and clear water. Highly recommended thanks guys. M Jackson (Scotland) saw a 1 star review which I assume was sour grapes from a sour faced tourist that was late and was politely told so

We had difficulty with meeting the... -
We had difficulty with meeting the bus at the designated pick up point. I would suggest that anyone using the travel tours in Crete use a hotel for the pick up point. however after many calls a cab was dispatched to pick us up and reunite us with our bus. The day trip through the White Mountains was very nice and the beach is very nice...get their early as the sunbeds get occupied early.

zon zee en wind - we were making a trip with Elafonisi Travel which we booked in the hotel. The timing was correct and on the way we picked up other people. Simona told everything about the trip and the area, sometimes a lot of info in a short time. The bus drove to the gorge of Topolia (Simona told a lot about the gorge) and did NOT stop there to have a quick view, not even for 5 or 10 minutes.People on the bus were disappointed. With a 1/2 hour stop for breakfast we arrived at Elafonisi beach. Very nice view and water but too much visitors everything was crowded. when you are early you can have a spot in the shadow and 2 beds for 9 euro's. The way back was very spectacular following the coast with a good place for lunch. WHY DOES EVERY DRIVER IN CRETE THINK HE IS A F1 PILOT ???? On the way back the driver was even pushing small cars to go faster and faster, he was even overtaking them. In there brochure the trip should end around 19.30 but we were already back at 18.00 because of the speeding.

Disappointed. - explain about the trek from the ferry to the lagoon, elderly people and parents with infants will find this a very difficult and dangerous.

Read the above - The beach was fantastic and the driver was great, but the trip to stalactite caves was false advertising and we paid more for the trip than the rest of the tourists on the trip. So buy via your hotel or one of the locals down there - not via Tripadvisor! Before departure I got an email about changing the pickup location and when I asked to have this confirmed I got no reply.
