Spinalonga (Kalydon) - Boat Trip: 60’
Time in Spinalonga: 1 hour 20 minutes
After sailing from Agios Nikolaos, we will arrive to Spinalonga. Spinalonga is known as the island of tears.
There will be a guided tour with a professional guide for about 45 minutes and then free time to take photos of the magical views.
Entrance to Spinalonga Fortress: 8€ -
Kolokytha Beach - After a 15’ boat trip we arrive in the beautiful bay of Kolokytha for swimming and BBQ for about 1h30min.
Participants will have the chance to swim and have BBQ lunch on the beach. -
Agios Nikolaos - Sail back to the town of Agios Nikolaos which will be the last stop of this day tour.
Enjoy some free time, for about 1h30min, take a walk or have a coffee around the beautiful lake and port of the town.
Embarkation on the buses and return to the resorts. -
Heraklion - Embarkation in the buses and drive back to the hotels where we gathered participants in the morning.
Depending on traffic and on the pick-up places of each one, the time of journey back to the hotel will differ.

Epic trip, epic staff! - We had the most fabulous day, watching the glorious sunrise on the coach, a stunning boat trip, friendly and brilliant guide around Spinalonga, which definitely had a melancholy atmosphere, while also having the hope and joy of the cafe and games culture. Finishing the day with a quick stop at Agios Nikolaos was perfect.
It couldn’t get any better, then we realised we’d left our wet swim gear on the coach. We were flying home the next morning and had no chance of picking it up. A quick email later and this epic company phoned, arranged to drop the stuff off at our hotel and did so within the hour. They also went out of their way to pick us up from our hotel in the first place even though it wasn’t on the list of pick up points. Absolutely tremendous service, thank you :)

Top price line ratio a must for any Greece holiday - It was really nice and warm from start to finish. We even had a German guide as a small group, but also everyone else extremely nice. You had enough time at the respective stations to look at everything and discover it. The price quality ratio is just great. Clear recommendation.

Very informative and beautiful scenery. - Beautiful scenery and towns. Spinalonga has a lot of history as does Crete itself. Excellent and informative guide. I excellent driver and coach. The whole experience was really good. Highly recommend

Brilliant day with lots to see/do ❤️ - Well worth the visit, especially if you’ve read the island by Victoria hyslop ❤️ guide pointed out places from the book etc. aghios Nikolaus was an unexpected gem too! Lunch was delish and lovely to cool down with a jump off the boat too! Well worth it for the money paid ❤️

One of the best days out for ages - The whole trip from start to finish was one of the best excursions I have ever been on for the cost of the trip. It did exactly as it said it would. We are vege and the option of food was excellent and usually it’s an afterthought on other excursions. Coach driver was excellent and prompt. The boat was clean and the staff excellent and the drink prices onboard were cheaper than on land. All in all a bloody good day out

Pleasant day out - Nice boat trip. We dropped lucky and attended on a day when we got free entry to the island. Our guide (Christie I think) gave us loads of info about the island. The stop for lunch in the bay was good and the food was very good. Yes you have to eat off a tray balanced on your knee if can't get space on bench but so what!

Beautiful day - Beautiful excursion with a great explanation of Spinalonga Island by our Guide Karine.
Small bemolla beach is very small but the water is transparent and warm think about swimming shoes because many pebbles.

Spinalonga... - Read the book about The island and was lucky to visit,,wonderful day trip with a swim and barbecue,,very knowledgeable and informative guide ,, amazing views,,a must when visiting this part of Crete.

Good trip but too long. - The tour itself was very good. Boat trip to the island was fun although very rocky. If you get sea sick beware. Island was nice, very walkable and interesting. Our tour guide Chrystina was great. Knowledgable and engaging. My BIGGEST complaint is the bus trip. The booking clearly says 1 hour bus to the town of Agios Nikoloas. We were the first pickup in Héraklion but there were TEN other pickups bringing our bus trip to nearly 3 hours. If I had known that before hand I would not have booked this trip. It was 2 hours coming back. Five hour bus ride instead of 2. Tour was supposed to be 8 or 9 hours and was 12

Long waiting times... - Helpful and knowledgeable tour company and good choice of trips. We booked 2 trips including this one. Unfortunately they did not explain we would be picked up and then taken to a petrol station to then get on the actual tour bus. We sat there for 20 mins with no knowledge of what was happening. We all were a bit confused. It wasn't a big problem but a heads up would be useful! We arrived in Agios Nicolaus late and had about an hour then on to the boat. No real notice of who was on or off so not sure how they kept track of us. Then lunch which was poor. Nice chicken leg, a dollop of shredded cabbage with a bit of feta and a slice of bread. No butter, dressings or seasoning. Served like school dinners. Ate the chicken but rest was inedible. This seems to be the norm for these trip lunches but if you do the Safari trip to Zeus Cave the lunch was excellent! Queued to get on the boat. Drinks and snacks available but cash only. We were not told this and only had a card so no drinks for us! Only 20 mins to swim then to Spinalonga. Took ages to get off the boat and then queued again for tickets (not included). Then a guide gave some history by which time we had about 20 minutes before we had to get back on the boat. Nowhere near enough time to explore this historical site. The trip was ok. Lovely scenery and a good day but felt we did nothing but queue and wait around all day in the heat. Would not do this again
