A taste of Cretan culture - We booked a Cretan night via Lemonade Tours at the Lyrakis Family Olive Oil Mill in Sisi. We had an amazing night with a tour of the Olive Oil mill followed by gorgeous food cooked fresh in the outdoor oven along with complimentary wine and then Greek dancing. Such a beautiful outdoor setting. We watched how Olive oil soap is made and met the local beekeeper. Mikalos is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his business. The large shop has plenty on offer too. Such a great night to experience the true culture of Crete.

Must do when visiting Crete - Had the most amazing night. It’s up in the mountains but it’s absolutely stunning scenery on the way up. The event itself was so much fun. Plenty of delicious hot and fresh food. So much choice between hot and cold options and nice juicy fruit alongside other deserts. The entertainment was brilliant. So lovely to see their traditional wear and dances. They were great at getting everyone up for dancing. A shot of raki, unlimited wine and food all for the price was really good. Highly recommend.

Good laugh - Had a good laugh and a dance. food was standard greek night fare but was tasty and filling and plenty of it. wine was also standard greek wine, but once the first bottle is downed who cares , haha. dancing was entertaining and there was a singer with a great voice in between dancing. lots of audience participation. we went from Sissi so the journey time wasn't too bad 35 mins. gave us time to stroll up the hill and get picture took with the donkey then find table and have a drink and food before show started. wouldn't want to travel too far for it though. Overall a good night.

Great - Great food, great dansers and a great busdriver but the busride was far to long and the hostes only had intrest in the greater groups not the couples.

So disappointing - We arrived at 8pm were ushered through the gate with speed, quick photo with a donkey then a quick drink of raki !! Then immediately ushered through a room made to look like an old Cretan home, another quick drink on the move to the main room. We had to weave our way trough about 50 tables to find ours then were told to go back outside to stand in a never ending queue for food that was awful and cold (we didn’t eat it). We sat through some good dancing however the audiences were beckoned on stage so much it felt as though they were doing the entertainment. Then at 1030 we were rushed again to our coach for home. I have been on a few Greek nights but never as bad as this. It was like being on a high speed train and thrown scraps to eat with cheap vine. Don’t do it !!!
