Mediocre - choose someone else, or just book everything yourself! - Pros: Chris (bus 2) - was very nice, funny and knowledgable. Cons: The tour felt VERY rushed! The value for money was quite poor No inductions given - I had to look at reviews to see which/where the bus was after the port!

Sad - Like all beautiful places in the world sadly Santorini is overrun with tourists ,, so the day trip is just long enough to battle the crowds and catch a glimpse of an Island struggling to breath. What was Santorini like before tourists it would be wonderful to have learnt about a unique way of life, it must be awful to be a permanent resident today watching the growth of dirty litter and people.

Too hectic and rushed, very little time in Oia. - The tour was way too hectic and tried to compress too much in the day. The day began with a chaotic boat ride on Seajets. Our party was not on their list of passengers despite us having paid in full for the trip. They added our group to the list and issued us the boat tickets. Getting on the boat is chaotic - everyone climbs on the car deck and then there is a mass of people trying to enter. The main seating area on the boat is comfortable. Once we got off the boat, the bus tour began. It was very hectic. There was only one hour allotted at the main attraction - the city of Oia. The sound system on the bus was horrendous. The tour guide’s directions were confusing. The tour guide himself did not join us into the main scenic area, as a result of which we found ourselves trying hard to find his suggested spots. Finally we saw the place in a rush by asking different store owners the way. The tour then went to Fira, the capital city. Again, it was rushed, with the guide pushing us to eat at one specific restaurant. The tour operators sold hard a boat ride to a volcanic caldera. We opted into that boat ride - it turned out to be just that - a boat ride. Since we did not know in advance that we would be able to swim in the hot springs, we just stayed on the boat. Though Santorini was supposed to be the highlight of our visit to Greece, it was very underwhelming because of the way this tour was organized. We saw the main sights, took photos, but that was it. I think they should have restricted the bus ride to Oia, and eliminated the boat ride to the caldera. Perhaps they could have included a nice restaurant or bar in Oia for its view - even if we had to pay for the food consumed.

Would do differently next time - Ok tour, basically the cost covered the price of the ferry tickets for that day and we only had the day to see Santorini. It was fine, but got back exhausted and hungry. It's a quick, rushed, run through the island. It is hard to see the cities when there are a dozen other tour busses of people at the same spot, in the se tiny streets. Maybe 1-2 hours each, not really time to wait in lines for pics, see the sites, appreciate and sit down for food, or shop, nice shops. The boat tour was an additional $20 euro not $16 as mentioned. The ferry was nice but filled mostly with people on this tour. Be prepared for massive lines, mobs, crowds to get on and off, which they herd people through quite quickly. Next time, we would have opted to take the ferry at a less crowded time and stay on the island so we could be there without this tour influx.

Not according to the tour description!! Very misleading! - We paid $443 for 2 adults. There were other similar tours for $360 and up. The description of the tour and texts with the tour company led me to believe that we were going to Santorini on a smaller 50 person sailing catamaran, but ended up on the huge ferry that holds about 2,200 people. The description said that, and I quote, "taking a refreshing swim at a black sand beach." We only went to the 2 listed villages. We lost our expert guide for the last couple of hours as he was leading the boat tour to the volcanic island which would have cost extra. A total rip off!!!

Terrible thing. - You will be served a breathtaking day. The reality is unfortunately different. The day lasts 16 hours. Of which you spend 11 hours in a bus or on a boat that has no air conditioning against the agreement. Rows by the bus, by the boat on the boat and then off the boat. You are dumped with 17000 other tourists in what should be the most beautiful spot on the island. Line up to take a picture. Walking is hardly there. Neither is the view. On to the volcano island where you are promised a tropical natural spa after all the heat waiting etc. Oh yes if you want to pay 20 euros p.p. They didn't say in advance. We take a ramshackle boat to the other side of the harbor. Where I think one by one we are thrown into the brackish water. And be erased after 15 minutes. Back on the ferry 2.5 hours later back on the bus. Back broken and disillusioned. The highlights will undoubtedly be beautiful. If you can see them. However, we have seen a barren, dirty island flooded with tourists and cranky agents who have to regulate traffic. And mainly stuck in the traffic jam of coaches. Once and for all. Such a waste of an expensive trip.
