Informative, interesting and fun walking tour. - This is an excellent tour that’s informative and interesting. It’s an excellent way to get to know the city and its culture. We had an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable and flexible. My wife requires Gluten Free food and she went to a lot of trouble to meet her needs. She took us to local shops and cafes where we got to eat local food and drink local wine. The bougatsa at Phyllo Sophies was to die for. All in all an excellent tour and most worthwhile.

Wonderful cultural insight! - This tour was exactly what we were looking for! Our guide gave us not just a general historical context of the city, but most importantly an appreciation for the various cultures, people, and events that allow led us to really appreciate the character of Heraklion. She took us to many shops and cafes to taste and see some true and authentic Cretan produce and products from the people of Crete and we were so welcomed by them all! It was a perfect way to experience a broad spectrum of culture in a short time, I hope all our future walking tours are like this one.

Wonderful way to learn more about Greek history, Heraklion and taste some amazing local food! - Wonderful way to learn more about Greek history, Heraklion and taste some amazing local food. The tour only takes a max of 6 people and we ended up just 2 of us with a guide. It was our little private tour!! It was amazing! Our tour guide was born and raised in Heraklion, so she was able to share some amazing stories and take us to some great local places to taste delicious food. We started our day with a cup of coffee and a Greek dessert. We walked around to a local market and got a taste of the freshest Greek vegetables. Then we stopped at a local shop that offered unique spices, infused oils, cosmetics made from an old family recipe and so much more. We visited two beautiful Greek orthodox churches and got to light a candle. We continued to a local, small grocery store where we got a delicious appetizer to take with us made from local products and tasted beautiful Greek wine. We had wonderful conversations along the way! We finished our day with a refreshing drink and a delicious gyro. The whole tour was scheduled to last two hours. However, our tour guide was in no rush and spend good amount of extra time with us. We much appreciated that! Definitely recommend this tour!

Warm, friendly and well-fed tour :) - What a fantastic tour! We were running late due to car problems and we were so pleased that they waited for us. We ended up being the only ones, so we got a private tour which was fantastic. Embarrassingly we can't remember the name of our tour guide (sorry) but she was BRILLIANT! She was so funny, so kind and so engaging - she made us feel incredibly welcome and looked after, plus she had some banter with the locals in the shops and restaurants we visited which was great fun! She really went above and beyond and made the tour special for us! This is a really great whistle-stop tour of Heraklion, where you get to see some of the sites, learn a bit about local culture & traditions as well as sample a lot of local food and hospitality (they really feed you so arrive hungry). There is more of a focus on food than sight seeing but that suited us to be honest. We really enjoyed it and recommend to anyone who wants a light-hearted tour of Heraklion, and who enjoys eating a lot :).
