Setting Sail from Heraklion

The day began with a gentle breeze and the promise of adventure as I made my way to the Old Venetian Harbor of Heraklion. The sight of the ancient fortress standing guard over the harbor was a reminder of the rich history that envelops this part of the world. As a former professional surfer, the call of the sea is something I can never resist, and today was no exception. Boarding the sailboat, I felt the familiar thrill of the ocean beneath me, a sensation that never fails to ignite my spirit.

The journey to Dia Island took about an hour, a perfect stretch of time to soak in the sun and the stories shared by our guide.
